RED DYE On Beige Carpet !

go to home depot and get ZEP in the Blue and orange container. It is about 4 dollars. It is like dry cleaning fluid and all you do is spray and blot. Good Luck.

Try De-Solv-it. I've used it on spaghetti stains and grease stains. It's worth a shot to try and it's biodegradeable. I bought mine at WalMart. I believe you can buy at some hardware stores too. It's hard to find sometimes, so when I do, I will pick up two bottles. I love it that much and have tried Goo Gone and several other and they didn't work as well as the De-solv-it.

Try goof-off, it's available at home depot. Just blot it gently until it disappears. It's smelly but it works. Good Luck!

Try this link below. It addresses red kool-aid stains but can also work for all red stains. I haven't tried it, but I do have some kind of red punch stain on my car carpet and plan to try this. You might want to do a test spot first. :)

My 9 year old spilled nearly the entire 2 quarts of RED Kool Aid on my beige carpet. I got it up without even a trace of a stain left by using Bissell Carpet Clearner Self Cleaning Formula.

It comes in an aerosol type can and it sprays out a foam. You let the foam dry, then vaccuum up the foam and the stain. Here is a link to a picture of the product I used. I got it at Dollar Tree.

Something cheap that might work - worked on red koolaid for us - is amonia and water - spray over stains lay towel down and put your steam iron on top it should pull it out of the carpet

I'm sorry I don't have any help for the carpet, but instead a tip for the future. You don't have to use colored nectar for the hummingbirds. You can make food for them at home using 1 part sugar to 4 parts water (1 cup sugar, 4 cups water for example)and they do not need the dye - they'll find it. Ask any reputable wild bird center and they will tell you a clear, home-made mixture works just as well. If you want color for looks, that's another story, but just know it's not a necessity. I have used Wine Out on the carpet for anything red- wine and koolaid. Our carpet is also beige. It didn't leave any bleach stains. You can probably get it at the grocery store- but you may have to go to a liquor store. I suggested it to a friend of mine that owns a restaurant. He uses it on the table clothes and mapkins for tough stains. It works wonders!

To help prevent this in the future, you don't need the red dye in the food if your hummingbird feeder has any red on it. Also, I don't know if you're already doing this, but you can make your own hummingbird food: combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 cup water, heat to a near boil (stovetop or microwave), and stir to make sure all the sugar is dissolved. Let it cool a bit before putting it in your feeder to prevent condensation from watering down the food. This stuff keeps in the refrigerator for awhile too. :)

I don't have a suggestion for the red dye however if you mix 4 cups of warm water to 1 cup sugar that makes good hummer food and they don't need red dye to attract them.

Oxyclean is what I swear by when it comes to stains. The trick is to use hot water when dissolving and then be sure to blot the stain with the oxy/water mix first before you rub. Soak the spot, blot and then rub in all directions.

I have discovered that cheap shaving cream rubbed directly into a carpet stain and then washed up with a damp rag does wonders! You might give this a try.

Try using Oxyclean. The powder can be diluted in water and sprayed right on the stain. Has worked wonders for me.

the best stuff I ever found is called Incredible Stain Remover and the only place I've been able to find it is Tom Thumb grocery stores. It is in a white bottle with blue and red on it.

Go to Wine Styles and buy their wine stain remover spray. It works on so many stains other than wine. I think it is called Wine Away, but if you call and ask them, they can tell you the name of it. They are located in Arlington and down on Hulen Street across from Old Navy and in the same shopping center as Kirklands and Kincaid's Hamburgers. They are next door to Edible Fruit. I don't know if all of the Wine Styles will carry it because they are a franchise.

You can probably forget it!! We had red hair dye on ours and even the guys from Zero Rez said it was hopeless. Get as much out as you can with your shampooer and you'll just have to live with it.

I just had my carpets professionally cleaned and my granddaughter let red popsicle drip from her dresser to the floor. He subjested Carpet Stain Remover. I am thinking Pet Smart may have it. I also had coffee stains and hopefully will work better then all the carpet cleaning I did. It probably will not get it all out but better. G. W

I concur with the oxyclean ladies. It even got red wine out of my carpet.

We have used Folex forever and love it. Gets most anything out.

Call Cornerstone Chem-Dry at ###-###-#### and we can try our Spot OUt which is a red stain remover -- it is very effective. If not, it would have to be patched if you have some extra carpet. Nothing OTC will take dye out - that is a permanent stain! We would love to help you!

You might try just plain old rubbing alcohol. I had someone tell me this once when I had found a ball point pen busted on my carpet that had been there a couple of days. It worked like magic. You might use a whole bottle, but hopefully it will help.

i second the oxyclean! we had an oil stain that professional cleaners were unable to get out. i followed the directions on the back of regular oxyclean for carpet stain removal and it completely removed it! i'm now a huge fan!

Try Spot Shot... then try goo gone. Then do the carpet shampoo(er). I finally gave up and put laminate wood floors! :)

Hvae you tried laundry detergent? I know it sounds crazy but it works if you have good detergent. I have only had experience with SA8 detergent so I don't have any result on any other detergent, but what we have done is put a scoop of detrergent in a bowl of hot water & let it dissolve then we put it in the shampooer, just like normal & this has worked for us, we also have used the SA8 all fabric bleach & even the prewash, but I only have experience with the SA8 on the carpet & in the shampooer. My mom has done this & some friends of mine & they loved the results! Good luck!

use a white cloth and hydrogen peroxide and keep blotting using clean area of cloth each time.

Try diluted hydrogen peroxide....it might take a few tries and it fades more over time. If that doesn't work, depending on the size, you can cut out the piece and hot glue and new piece in. Get the "new" piece from a closet if you have too. Good luck.

I have no idea, but you may find the answer on Yahoo. They have a website about how to clean everything.

There is a great product called Sol-U-Mel. It is made by a company called Melaleuca! I would reccomend it for any type of stain!!! I have tried Spot Shot, Oxyclean and many others and they only made the stain worse!
