Red Spots on Skin from Bubble Bath?

I noticed faint red spots (not raised or bumps, but flat) on my 29 month old throughout his body. Also he has been itching his eyes all morning. My husband gave him a bubble bath last night using our (bath & bodyworks) bubble bath. I am thinking that was the culprit. Anyone else experience this?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

THe bubble bath he used is for adult use only and has a fragrance, so will not use again (hubby didn't realize it may cause a problem).

Hi M.. It could be... Until you figure it out...
1. I would not use today.
2. Check if the product has fragrance. If it does, i may not use it anymore on a child...Even tho even baby products have fragrance, usually those fragrances are tested on children.
3. if the rash does not go away in 2-3 days, I would call my pedi.
4. I would bath in water only, or with cetaphil or aveno until the rash subsides.
Hope this helps.

P.S. A huge gold start to your hubby for giving your little one a bath. That is awesome. I would not have know the fragrance thing either except for my own sensitive skin which trained me for dealing with my son's :)

Sounds like the culprit to me! Is it intended for children or adults? And, he probably needed to be rinsed off before getting out. My son has eczema and has high maintenance skin, and those are a couple things I've learned ;)

It is entirely possible that the fragrance was too strong for him and it's irritating his skin.

Give him a quick shower now with a different brand of soap...then if you have any children's benedryl, give him the recommended dosage for his age/weight and see if the spots go away.

If they don't. It could be something else.

That is way too much for a toddler. Artificial fragrance in anything can cause problems. You might want to opt for fragrance-free all natural products.
