I am a doula in seal beach (but new to the area), and I can check with my doula sisters in the area on that. I know that Dr Kilzner through long beach memorial does VBA2C, but I'm sure there are more OBs who do VBAC. Some good places for you to look are vbacfacts.com and the ican network. Lots of good info there. You can also check into out of hospital birth. There's a great birth center in Irvine and another in Laguna, as well as many great home birth midwives in the area who do VBAC. And then there's doulas to help you...

I had a vbac 11 years ago (wow, makes me feel old). My doc was fabulous; never any question that I could have a vbac. Dr. Susan Mendelsohn w/ Orange Coast Woman's Medical Group in Laguna Hills. She's well worth the drive!

Hi,

I am pregnant with my second son. My first son was born via emergency C-section and my OB, Dr. Weatherford Clayton, said that I can have this baby vaginally. He is in Newport Beach and is associated with Hoag Hospital. Good Luck!

I don't have experience since I wasn't allowed to deliver my twins vaginal ( weight issues with one) but had that not occurred my on was more than happy to do a vbac ( even with twins). His name is Dr. Ruiz and is out of talbert medical group in fountain valley.

Check out www.ican-online.org - they have local chapters and can tell you who is more likely to be VBAC friendly as well as which hospitals to avoid.

To increase your chances even higher for a VBAC, I'd look into Midwives in private Midwife only practices too!! There are many CNMs who are starting to do birthing center and home VBACs and have more experience in them than OBs.
