Hi B.,
With 4 children, I got away without moring sickness only once.
With my first, it wasn't so bad, just a few ill episodes, but was nauseaus all night long - working night shift. Snacking on crackers and such helped, and sipping water.
With my third, I craved fruits and salads, which helped greatly with nausea. At work, I snacked all day long; hard candies, lemon drops worked most days, ginger snaps, saltines, peanut butter crackers, and lots of sipping of apple juice (it worked best).
With my last, it was the worst. I couldn't find anything to help. When vomiting started, it didn't stop until I went to the hospital (3 days later) for dehydration for 3 days. They gave me meds, Zofran, that helped wonderfully and I was able to eat and drink. Unfortunately, they wouldn't give me a script for it at home, and what they did send me home with didn't work. I was back again 4 days later. This time they gave me a script for it.
After my second visit, I found that ice chips/cubes worked wonders. I would buy a big bag of ice to keep in my outside freezer and fill up a large to-go soup container about 3-4 times a day - a bag would last me about 4 days. ( I also ate alot of chinese food, we have a buffet in town, and ordered take out from the restaraunt, so the soup containers were plentiful, they had lids and held my ice) I took these cups/bowls everywhere with me, even to work.
Hope you find something that helps, I remember too vividly how bad it can get.
