we are thinking of relocating to a big town. we live in a small one and hate it. I would like opinions for towns to move based on low crime rate job availability and good schools. I actually want to live in the country in the outskirts of a big town.
If you would like to leave OK, consider Minneapolis. We love it. There are many great cities across America!
Well, my husband and I and our kids moved from Chicago to Pittsburgh, in a nice suburb right outside of the city. Pittsburgh is very nice, people are very friendly. Although there are a lot of hills to get used to driving on. It's very affordable living and depending on which outlying suburb in which you reside are very good school systems.
I live in the small town St. Gabriel La. it is at the s w tip of East Baton Rouge Parish seven miles south of La. State Univ.
I suggest you check it out. Small town living within 15 mins of the big city.

You need to do a lot of research about it... consider the economy and the ability to find decent jobs, in whatever city your are thinking about. And if it is child friendly or not etc.
