Removing Blendy Pens from Table

My girls received Blendy Pens as a Christmas gift. They have been using them at the kitchen table. They ended up getting the pen marks all over the table and it won't come out. Our table has like a clear coat gloss on the top of it. The color of the pen is still there. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the blendy pen marks out of a table. I didn't think these were suppose to stain anything.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I would like to thank everyone who responded. All of these were great responses. I used the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the table. This took all the pen marks out. I wish I would have known that before I threw them all away. Thank you everyone!

You can try to use lemon juice and s.o.s. Rub very gently on the table top though because you are using steel wool. I had pen on my table and I did this trick and it took the pen right out.

Hi J.,

I am going to suggest that you use AWESOME.....
This stuff is really good. I use it for so many stains with great results and you won't believe the price, it only cost $1.00 and it is sold at The Dollar tree. All you have to do is spray it on the surface and let it sit for a few minutes and wipe it up and I am sure that you are going to be happy with the results. Please let me know if this works.

good luck

Try Windex with Vingar or any kind of Windex, it look paint off of our table. You may need to let it soak for a little bit if it doesn't wipe off the first time.

Try alcohol. I had a magic marker explode over a hard wood floor once and it took every bit of it away and didn't hurt the finish.

Have you tried toothpaste? My daughter got RED permanent marker all over our table. I couldn't get it out until a friend did some "on the spot" research and sure enough- the toothpaste did it. I just put toothpaste on the area and buffed it out with an old cloth. I'm trying not to think to much about what is in the toothpaste that would take permanent marker out of my table top.I hope that this helps you out.

Avon's Skin-so-Soft bath oil once took permanent marker off a painted surface for me. I rubbed it VERY LIGHTLY with a brand new Brillo pad, but you could try something less drastic first (baking soda on dishrag, Scotch-Brite, toothpaste on dishrag, etc.)

Good luck

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser got sharpie pen off of my dining room table. And a few years back when I spilled nail polish on our coffee table, my fabulous in-laws made it look good as new with something called Restore-a-finish. Good luck!
