Need HELP!! I dropped an entire bottle of omega fish oil on the floor, and I mopped it up with a towel. Not thinking, I threw that towel in with a bunch of clothes. Well 2 washes later, and my clothes still wreak. Any ideas??

What can I do next?

Add 1 cup baking soda to the wash cycle and then 2 1/2 cups white vinegar to the rinse. Should help you out.

Oh hell, you weren't thinking at all. I have never tried to get fish oil out of anything. I would suggest you first start at the most obvious, it is oil, go nuts with Dawn or any other detergent that breaks up oil. Please, in case you are still not thinking don't put it in the washer, that stuff foams like no other!!

After that try laundering again.

Because fish oil is fish oil it is infused with fish smell. Your laundry still smells because the oil is still in the fabric. This may be all or part of the problem.

Good luck!

Both suggestions were good, but yes don't put Dawn in the washer! You could however saturate your clothes with it, soak them in the sink and then run them through the wash. Even if they have some still on there it won't cause an overflow since it's mostly on the fabric. Lemon juice is also really good at getting smells like fish out of things, but I think that might discolor your clothing too. I would suggest Dawn first then throw the whole lot in the washer with a cup of vinegar too.

if you are referring to removing the smell, maybe you could try vinegar. I've never tried it for that, but it does work miracles on some things!! Good luck

Try adding vinegar to the wash. For mildew and b.o. and really tough odors, I add like a cup or two.
