Reprieve from Seasonal Allergies - Due to Baby???

Ladies -

I have suffered with seasonal allergies for years. Last year didn't have them, and this year, despite it being a very bad pollen season, I am doing well too. Could it be because of the baby? Is this one of the fringe benefits of preggo hormones? The little one is now 7 months old and I've had barely a sniffle or itchy eye.

Has anyone else had this experience?
Any other unexpected plusses to having children?

I did with my first and my allergies were so bad that I was on allergy medicine every day for the last 10 years. I didn't have to take any allergy medicine during the whole pregnancy. It has to do with your lowered immune system - bad side is you can catch other viruses easier too. I never did so it was a win/win for me =)

Interestingly, with my second I was looking forward to the same benefit, but for some reason my allergies remained constant.

We can, at any time, become allergic or lose an allergic reaction during our life time. Maybe your body has finally fixed itself, it is an awesome machine when left to it's own defenses and not riddled by medicines.
Congrats, and I hope it lasts :)

My seasonal allergies improved after I had kids too. Not sure why. Hope it stays that way :)

Maybe!! After my 2nd child was born I NEVERRR got mosquito bites. I could walk into a cloud of bugs and come out unscathed. Then my son came along, and he messed me up all over again! I hate bugspray!! ;)
