Can anyone tell me about their experiences selling baby clothes to any resale shops in the Austin area? Which shops did you have good experiences with, get best money for the clothes you sold, etc?

Thanks,
S.

Hi S.,
I love taking things to the Pumpkin Patch on S. Lamar. You may want to call first and see what seasonal clothes they are taking. They take maternity clothes too as well as toys, books, furniture.
Best wishes to you!

I like Lil' Ones at 183 & Oak Knoll. They give you 1/2 of what they sold it for. However, they are pretty picky about what they will sell for you.

I sell to two different shops because at one they only take the best looking clothes - practically new looking only- and I can buy new looking clothes there. I sell to another the other "good" looking clothes and I buy my kids toys or new stuff there.
I go to Rock-A-Bye Kids in the Arboretum area with my best looking clothes and Kid to Kid at Lakeline for the rest. Sometimes the ladies are really friendly and sometimes they aren't. You just can't get your feelings hurt if they are short with you or give you back some of your clothes because I'm sure they deal with lots and lots of people and lots and lots of yucky looking clothes.
Good luck.
