There is a lady in my office who will be retiring this week. She is a very dear person and I will miss her considerably. Im ashamed at myself for not thinking of a gift sooner, but we are going to lunch tomorrow and wanted to take her something. Anyone have a really good gift idea for that occasion. Her and her hubby will be packing the motorhome and traveling the country. They are into gardening and nascar. No time to do a photo book or crafty thing like that. I will have to be someting I can pick up today or tomorrow morning. Please help!! Thanks so much!!!

How about a nice leatherbound journal from Barnes and Nobel so she can write about her journeys?
When I retire, I want someone to give me an alarm clock, a hammer, and safety goggles!
My favorite gift from leaving a job ever was sweet and simple. My friend got a journal with lined paper from the dollar store. She went to every person we worked with, took thier picture and glued it to the top of a page. (This was back in the polaroid days) and let each person write a note to me and give contact info if they wanted. That was over a decade ago and I still sometimes pull that book out and flip through the inspirationsal words and see those faces. It cost nothing but is worth so much to me.
Gas card or go to Walmart or Sams & get a first aid kit or road safety kit that will come in handy for their RV adventures for just in case, reminding them you always want them to be safe & take care of them in case of an emergency. Don't forget to ask if they will send a postcard every now & then! = 0 )
Fresh flowers for her desk are always welcomed, and possibly a corsage for her to wear all day tomorrow, would really make her feel special.
