Hi All

Can anyone recommend a Professional Salon Quality Hair dryer that is good for sraightening hair? I need something with high WATTS but that is salon quality...not like the ones you buy in the stores. I have very thick curly hair and the normal store bought hair dryer just doesnt do the right job for me to straighten my hair. I get it straight but then it starts to frizz up and I think its partly because of the blow dryer.

If anyone can recommend some tips to help with straightening hair that would also be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance everyone!!

What can I do next?

Hi, Linda. I use a Revlon Ion dryer. I bought it in a regular drug store and it was inexpensive compared to the salon dryers, but it works. It gets very hot, and it straightens hair great. When I want my hair really pin straight I also use a ceramic flat iron. I hope you don't plan to use it every day because it will fry your hair if you do.

Good luck.

Hi Linda,

I'm not sure about a blow drier since I don't use one but I do have thick frizzy hair. I use Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner. They have a formula for frizzy hair and also for straighter hair. They do work I use both of them.

Good luck to you,
Jenn

I know a few people including my mom who have gone to Bloom Studio in Morristown. It is located on Market Street. I get my hair cut there and am very happy there. In fact I get my eyebrows done there as well. They have many different kinds of straighteners.

Hi, I have a Hot Tools Blue Velvet Professional dryer. My husband ordered it online for me so if you google it, you should be able to find it. It is like an industrial dryer. It's awesome. Also, I think it is Paul Mitchell that makes this stuff called Skinny that cuts drying time in half and helps straighten hair and makes it very soft and silky. I totally recommend both! Good Luck.

Hi Linda
My daughter has very very thick curly hair as well and it really might not be the dryer at all! We find that if you first put in lots and lots of product then blow dry it helps alot. We use Infusium first and them one of those hair serums that help control frizz. (You don't necessairly need the most Popular one that is about 7 bucks for a 2oz bottle, many companies make them and are much cheaper and work just as well) Really saturate your hair with those and then blow dry. Don't worry, the products are actually good for your hair and won't make them sticky or dry. Definitely stay away from hair gel they have too much alcohol and will dry out your hair and make it frizzy. Hope this helps.
