Usually after spring break, but you can call and find out. They have it, just not "board approved" yet, so they can't make it public.
:)
Does your child's schools already have the calendar for next year posted? When do they generally post it? We are trying to schedule a vacation for October when the girls usually have Fall Break, but we want to make sure nothing has changed for next years calendar before we go ahead and make our reservations, but we want to make them soon so we get the place that we want. It is frustrating to have to wait.

Yes - the school district would be the best place to check. If they don't have a website, call and ask for it. One of the schools the kids go to sends it home in January as soon as it's finalized for the upcoming year. The rest don't send it unti the end of the school year so it's there, they just may not distribute it.
Oh, I wish our school calendar was already posted! We know the date that school starts but that's it.
Ours has been posted already. IT is on the main district website (not the school one) under a calendar link.
If yours hasn't been yet, you can check with the principals secretary. They often are more "in the know" of things like that.
Good luck!
Our calendar is already posted on the district website.
Yes, we have a tenative calandar posted.
I would just call the school secretary and ask her if she can tell you.
I would imagine that the school calendar ties into the school budget (while state requirements stay the same teacher contracted days or hours might vary). I would imagine that it will be a while before they publish it.
Why not go ahead and schedule your vacation and if they do something radical with the the fall break, fill out an educational vacation request form?
I don't believe the schedule is done for our school system yet. Last year's was finalized April 13. Our kids always have off the last Thursday and Friday in October though for teacher conferences-that much never seems to change. Other than that-they don't have a fall break so...
Your school has a Fall break? Here in NY we have 2 Jewish holiday in the fall and Columbus day - and there are times they all fall within 2 weeks of eaachother, and other years when they are in 3-4 different weeks. We've tried to plan family vacations around them but most years it's been impossible. But no our district doesn't yet have next year's calendar posted yet.
Yes, our calendar for 2013-2014 is online now.
Our school district has next year's schedule posted on their website. They haven't sent one home from the school yet but it's coming. It is usually ready by the end of January
Our school district does have the calendar for next year up, but it is not considered finalized. Things can still change right up through August.
For us, there are no breaks or days off in October next school year.
Ours isn't posted until May or during the summer. Even if it's already posted it is subject to change. You could find out if they have a written policy about when the breaks are. Some will always do the 3rd week and others do the 2nd.
I make our kids dental appointments when I want them to be then we take off that Thursday and do the appointments on Friday. Even if it's not the right week I take them out those days. It's always our granddaughters birthday around that time so we make plans ahead of time.
I wish we had a fall break, since we take my 4 year old out of school twice a year for now.. Once in the Fall and once in the spring for our family vacations. Maybe as time goes on, they will go to that schedule. but since he is only missing pre-school, I am not that worried yet.. :)
Call the school and ask.
our school has its own website listed that i WAS NOT aware of til recently when i was looking up other school information in different part of the state.
The School District has a calendar by January for the next school year.
I recall as PTA President, Usually the district have Calendars 3 years ahead of time, but they are subject to change.
Our PTA used to do long range planning. It was the school sports that came out the latest.. as soon as that was released we could plan all of our fundraisers, meetings, and events , so it did not conflict.
Yes.
On their school's website
Or, the DOE (Dept. of Education) will have it on their website.
My school doesn't have it on their own website, but it is up on the district site. Maybe you can check your district page to see if they have it posted yet.
Ours usually post them in March.
