Check out Family Fun.com-they have tons of "cool" snack ideas. HTH
My daughter is in the first grade and next week is my week to bring snacks. She talks about all the other cool snacks the other moms brings...can you help me out and give me some ideas? Please included instructions or websites where I can get some. Also there are no restrictions for her class. Homemade, "Peanut" products are allowed.
Thank you!
She wants her snacks to be cool, and I want to give her that.

First of all, check with your school about what kind of snacks they allow coming in.
At our schools, parents are not allowed to bring home made items in. They must be store bought and packaged appropriately.
Next, peanut allergies are huge in the schools. Our schools have very strict "no peanut products" allowed items.
So, excluding homemade and excluding anything that includes nuts... the next thing you want to do is go with something psuedo healthy but still "cool".
So, you could buy a box of crackers and cheese cubes and also some simple fruits like raisins or craisins, bring in a box of toothpicks. Let the kids "design" something with their snack items, they can piece together cheese, raisins and try to make them stand on crackers!
You could go with something cool and refreshing, like freeze a bunch of flavoraid popsicles and take them in a cooler!
A snack my kids used to love was club crackers, sliced velveeta cheese to cover the cracker, then a wedge of a tart granny smith apple. Healthy for those energetic little ones and very, very tasty!
Not sure those ideas help at all, but they are some things that come to mind...
Does her school have guidelines on what can be brought in? If not and it's an afternoon snack you might look into Great American Cookie Factory - get individual cookies made up with the scool colors and mascot on each one of something like that. Otherwise maybe your daughter can help you make something for the class, popcorn balls or something like that? Mine are just in preschool so our snacks so far consist of apples and carmel dip, cheese sticks and pretzels! So not quite up on the 1st grade snacks yet... sorry.
My kids always love donuts (or donut holes) - not the healthiest, but very popular. And the teachers like them because they're not too messy (crumbs, etc).
I have made cupcakes in ice cream cones and they have been a huge hit everytime. It was also something fun and easy for my kids to help make.
