Hi! I feel your pain...or I felt your pain! My daughter is almost a year and I had pain in my hips (one especially) for about the first 6-8 months afterwards. I know others have said this, but going to a chiropractor (sp?) helped some with me. The Chiro said I was way out of wack and recommends every new mom be adjusted at least once after childbirth. Just think, that precious little wee one of yours puchsed through whatever..bones, joints, etc to get out! Now they have to somehow find there way back!! Aslo, I noticed my hip started feeling better once I started doing some moderate exercise. It hurt a little more at first, but once I got stronger it really helped. Swimming is a great non-harsh way to get back in shape and get your joints and things strong and in place again. Ask your chiro/doc if there are any hip strengthening exercises you can do!
