I'm looking for a chiropractor in the Allen area for my 15 yr old daughter. I'm willing to go to McKinney, Plano or Frisco if needed. She slept on a love seat while we were visiting family this summer and her back hasn't stopped hurting since. She's been doing gymnastics but that doesn't seem to help or hurt it. She's just miserable a lot of the time due to back pain. We have Cigna HMO insurance. My husband is worried that if we go, we'll be signed up for a lifetime of continuous service. I've heard people talking positively about their chiropractor experiences, so I don't think that is actually the way that they work anymore. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :-)

Dr. Chalmers in Frisco is where I go. The only place I have been leary of when it comes to feeling like you will be there a while is Chiro Spa......I have gone to chiropractors for years but now am only on maintenance when needed. At first she may need to go a couple times a week but should see results quickly if the chiro is good.

Dr. Cavazos of Structure Chiropractic in Plano. He is absolutely wonderful.Price is reasonable. Also files with insurance. We also have Cigna. There is no signing up for numerous treatments; some doctors won't ever release you but Dr. Cavazos treats you and even gives you exercises that will help you out so you don't have to keep returning. I also love about him that his staff is nice and if you have an emergency he will take you right away or even stay late for you. Definitely give him a call.
I went there after the birth of our second daughter in 2009 and helped me greatly with back pain, hip pain etc. We also had our teen daughter go too (at the time she was 15; now 16); she does dance, drill team etc. and he did wonderful adjustments on her. As well as on my husband who had back pain for years and other docs wanted to do back surgery on him and cavazos got rid of his pain within 3 months and he is still doing great. We also had him adjust our toddler.

my hubs has terrible back probs and all from a sneeze, believe it or not! He was stuck on the floor in pain at age 18. He's had probs since and he's 36 now. He's been to tons of chiro docs and back specialist. I work next door to a chiro and thought we'd give him a shot. His back was going out every other month and since he started seeing Dr. Cavazos it's been nearly a year since it went out last.
