Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone out there can help me find a better make-up. I'm 44, and have a *deep* line on either side of my mouth plus dark circles under my eyes and an oily t-zone. I use a prescription topical medicine for acne. I don't wear makeup every day, but when I do I've been wearing L'oreal Visible Lift Extra Coverage in Pale, and it provides good coverage, but I still get the deep lines around my mouth. I read some of you raving about Bare Minerals, but I didn't want to spend 60 dollars on something that I couldn't try on my skin first, so I bought the Cover Girl TruBlend micro-minerals on sale, and found that it doesn't cover as well as I like, plus it makes my face look sort of red as the day goes on (I went to get my Driver's License pic taken while wearing that makeup for the first time, I was feeling confident in my makeup but when I got the picture back I look red-faced, and now I'm stuck with that photo for 8 years, argh!) Is Bare Minerals really different from the Cover Girl TruBlend, or similar? Are there any other foundations that you've tried that have really good coverage but don't settle into lines?
And does anyone out there want my slightly used TruBlend? (lol) Thanks for any advice you have for me. *Peace*! ~M.
Hi everyone. I wanted you to know I finally got to try BareMinerals, there was a special offer on TV and I couldn't resist the price. Well, the brushes they sent were awesome, but the foundation didn't cover as well as I like, and it made my face break out in just a few hours. Melissa- I hear ya! :) I'd recommend Bare Minerals too. its really light and flawless but you can layer it for great coverage.
Do you make sure to always wear moisturizer etc? that will greatly help 'plump up' wrinkles so the foundation doesnt settle. you may also want to try a wrinkle decreasing product like ma-ligne (http://www.votrevu.com/sites/J./productcatalog?page=produ...) or Lift Fusion (http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P139804&sh...) It works really well and will help fine lines :)

I use Pur Minerals which is a lot like bare minerals... but better. It covers the dark spots under my eyes and the any blemish to be had. I have the same oily T-zone. I ran out recently and didn't want to spend the $24 on new stuff and made the mistake of buying the TruBlend, what a waste of money. Not only did it suck it caused me to break out the first time.... I learned my lesson! Any ways I go to Ulta and buy Pur not sure if there is one out by you, just have a consultant help you. You will love it and not mind spending a little extra. Best of luck: )
I'm 48 and I wear bare minerals, I really like it. You can buy the foundation at Ulta stores and it's $25 so you can get it cheaper. BUT I did find "Deluvia Dead Sea" that is very nice too. I came across it at Sam's Club, the only thing you can't buy it there all the time. Then I think you need to buy it on-line, I bought a pkg. deal from there with mineral mud mask, revitalizing cream, mineral cream, mineral toner....again I really like this stuff, it makes your skin feel great.
I Also use a product called "beauty control" Sculpture face and neck contour cream, you buy it in age appropriate categories, I've been using it for about 2 months now, and I'm not kidding the fine lines "wrinkles" have really subdued, almost disappeared. My daughter-in-law sells it now.....I'm hooked on the "anti-aging" products. I also use something for dark circles under eyes, and that seemed to help too.
