i am new to the area too. where you from we are from wichita falls. i am looking for a new church as well...i found online today one called calvery christian center on 2600 in little elm about 21 miles away... im going to check it out it really seems awsome. also i have tried cross timbers church and its nice awsome church and great childrens program but they are a little to big for me. but my husband loves it... i hope this helps

I work at the First Baptist Church of Corinth KDO program. That church is awesome. There are so many young families and many growing ones. Hope this helps.

Chris and I are members at an amazing church just down 377 in Argyle!!! It's called Crosstimbers Community Church and we share property with Liberty Christian Academy!! We are currently searching for a location to build another Crosstimbers in Denton as well.
It's non-denomination and VERY laid back. You will be so welcomed and feel so warm there!! You can wear blue jeans and we serve Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee every Sunday!! haha!!
It really has been a blessing for our family these past 4 years.
We had Carson dedicated to the Lord there when he was 1.5 years old, not long after we started coming!! It took 4 churchs and 18 months of seaching before we found Crosstimbers and we've never been anywhere since!!
The praise and worship band is professional grade!! They have words on the screens to follow along. You won't be disappointed I promise!!
Toby Slough, our senior pastor, uses everyday situations and speaks in everyday language...no "thee or thou" like our old King James Bibles growing up!! haha!!

I go to Fellowship Church. It is a large church and has a wonderfull Childrens program. I love this church because everyone will make you feel welcome! :-) There is a book store and a coffee shop inside the main bld too! Ed young is a dynamic speaker and the music it just Awesome! All music you could hear on 94.1 KLTY sung by a great band that changes all the time! You will truely be inspired when you attend a service! go to www.fellowshipchurch.com and check it out. We also have campuses in Plano, Uptown and near Alliance Airport as well. The Grapevine Campus is located right off of HWY 121 on the north side of the airport.

I've got to agree with the Crosstimbers recommendations. We just lucked out when we recently moved to the area and gave it a try because it was just down the road. We haven't had to try any others, which was a surprise because my husband can be pretty picky. If you want a laid back, friendly environment with a great kids program and lots of other programs this would be good for you.

We live near Providence and attend Covenant Church - its about 10 mile from denton off hwy 380 and its great for families; there are several young (that is 20-30's)families w children- the childrens and youth programs are outstanding and its a very involved church. It would probably take you about 10-15 minutes from denton to get there. Go Hwy 380 take right on Hwy 377 about 1 mile on right-cant miss sign. It came highly recommended to us when we first moved here, now we know it was a god thing! we love it and the pastor has a heart for the lord! (I turn 30 in 2 years, so i know what you mean - but i like the people i've met here cause they know how to have fun and stil love the lord. its great!

HI JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW ABOUT BRIDGEWAY CHURCH. WE HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW AND LOVE IT!!! THE PASTOR PREACHED FOR A LONG TIME IN COPPELL BEFORE HE STARTED THIS CHURCH. IT'S IN HIGHLAND VILLAGE OFF 407 AND MORRISS WHICH TURNS INTO HIGHLANDVILLAGE RD(I BELIEVE). I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S TOO FAR FOR YOU BUT I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW GREAT THE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY IS!!! ALSO THE CHURCH IS NEW SO THERE ARE MANY OPPURTUNITIES TO VOLUNTEER IN THE CHILDREN'S CLASSES OR NURSERY AND IT'S A GREAT WAY TO DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER MOMS! I HOPE THIS HELPS. The Harvest Church is a local church here in Denton, Texas We meet at UNT Murchison Center every Sunday at 9:45AM, They offer WONDERFUL childcare and once you become comfortable there are home groups, woman's bible study, and men's bible study.

Corny sounding but this church has changed my life.

My husband and I were "good" Christians but didn't really have a relationship with the Lord that we so have now, and the thought of starting a church was scary at first. I attended Harvest last Christmas Eve, and I haven't stopped gushing since. My husband is a pilot so I usally attend alone with my children and from the beginning everyone was so friendly and helpful. I finally got the courage to attend a Woman's Bible study and LOVE LOVE the woman, and since it's probably my only me time, I can't imagine doing anything else.
The church is small and growing rapidly. The teaching is from the bible and the music is Awesome.

Wow! I bet you didn't anticipate such animated and emphatic responses! It is wonderful to see what having the gospel in your life can do for someone. I, too, belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I just wanted you to know, if you are truly searching for knowledge and direction and peace in your life, you should join us one Sunday. I don't mean to day the ONE Sunday will provide you with all you need, I only mean to say that you will find the peace and Spirit that will leave you wanting to learn more.

We are not your main stream church with bands and such - just an organ and piano. We don't have a paid ministry, members of the church are asked to speak/provide a lesson during the main meeting. There are children, youth, men's and women's organizations. There is a huge emphasis on the family and our individual potential as sons and daughers of God. There is all ages of people in the church - from every stage of life - newly married, newly blessed with kids, kids all in school, and on...

My husband, my 3 yr old, and I go to Cross Timbers Community Church in Argyle. It's about 15 minutes from Denton, off 377. It has a live band, GREATTTTTT children's ministry, and it so such a blessing in our lives. You can look at the website at crosstimberschurch.org. I think that's it. I belong to Southmont Baptist Church. We have a wonderful family oriented congregation. I am 32 (hubby is 31) with 3 kiddos.
My husband and I came to Southmont 4 years ago when my daughter was 18 months old. We loved it and have been there ever since. We also have a wonderful Children's Day Out program.
We have lots of family oriented activities throughout the year.
We always welcome vistors and new members.

We have an awesome church that we attend however its in Mckinney. We just moved here from California and found this church online. Ihave never been to a church quite like this. The people are so awesome and nice, The Holy Spirit is very evident there and we are getting ready to break ground on a new huge building off Virginia Parkway. The church is called FWC, Family Worship Center. Services start at 9am and 10:45. If your interested you can email me to ask any questions. I love it there and couldnt see myself anywhere else.

If you are near Corinth please come visit FBC Corinth on Meadowview Drive. We have a new pastor that is quite a blessing. It's mostly families with children though there are some older folks too. Contemporary worship if that's your style. If you are more in north Denton, we enjoyed visiting FBC Denton. Nice church we just wanted something more in our area where our daughter would go to school with the kids she goes to church with.
