Hi everyone! Does anyone know of a good pediatrician that accepts staywell insurance? I'm not so comfortable with the doctor I chose for by 2 children. I want a doctor that really reaches out to the parents as well as the children. Not a doctor that is there to collect money! It seems as though those doctors take other insurance plans but maybe I'm wrong. I chose the doctor I currently have because she was close to my home but now that doesn't matter. Please help!! Oh I live in Orlando!!

What can I do next?

I'm not sure where in Orlando you live, or how far you're willing to drive, but I used to use Oviedo Children's Health Center in Oviedo. I believe they take Satywell but you might want to call them @ ###-###-####. I started taking my son there when he was born and took my daughter there when she was born. We moved out of state and when we came back we chose a doctor closer to us. I highly recommend them. They are very nice and knowedgeable. I know what you mean about some doctors--you almost feel like you're inconveniencing them! Good luck in finding the right doctor four your children!

Hi E.,

I'm not sure about your insurance, but I've been very happy with the Physicians Associates practice - they're a large practice with a bunch of offices all over town, and they take many insurances. First we saw Dr. Hayne in the Waterford Lakes office, then when we moved to Winter Springs we started seeing Dr. Wiest in the Oviedo office, and when she was on vacation we saw Dr. Gagliano at the University office. I've liked all 3 very much. You can go to their website for more info - it's either www.paof.com or www.paof.org - I forget which.

Good luck!

Hi E..

I have a wonderful pediatrician that I've been with since I moved to Florida (12 years ago). She has been great with my 3 kids and she really reaches out to the parents. She always makes sure that the parent understands everything she's talking about. She's very personable. Now, I'm not sure whether or not she accepts your insurance, but if you're interested I'll provide you with the telephone number and you can ask.

Good Luck!
