We are doing a baby shower and are looking for a hall (hotel, church, any place) where we could hold about 80 ppl. We are looking in the Oak Brook/Villa Park area preferably, but haven't had much luck so we are open to other places. Can anyone suggest a place that can hold about these many ppl... we are looking at Saturday, March 31st for the shower. Any suggestions on locations would be great (at this point I don't care if we have to provide the chairs and tables) plus the food & beverage ourselves.

Thanks!

I don't know that area well, but I've had good luck finding inexpensive rental spaces by contacting park districts and community centers. For example, the River Forest community center has several big rooms for rent. The Oak Park Conservatory just off 290 has a party room, too.

I would check your local Park Districts and VFW halls. I know there is a VFW hall in Villa Park on East St. Charles. They are usually pretty cheap - and provide the tables and chairs. Good luck!

We had a baby shower at the VFW on Villa Ave - I think it's considered Villa Park. It was really nice and inexpensive.
