I have been taking my children to Pediatric Associates of Orlando, I like the nurse practitioners, but I think their practice is just too big for me. I would like to know if anyone can recommend a smaller pediatric office in the area. I am completely open to suggestions!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone for the great advice. I did a little more searching and found a great pediatrician that is just minutes from our house! We saw Dr. Watson at Windemere Pediatrics and she was just wonderful with my girls!!

I bring my son to West Orlando Pediatrics - - Dr. Yarkin is wonderful. It is his practice - - he is the only Dr. you will see. When you have an emergency after office hours, he calls you back - -he is supportive and patient.

Good luck.

Hi M.,

I think I was at Pediatric Associates too. 3-4hrs wait for a 5-10 min visit with the doctor. I just switched to Physicians Associates at Sand Lake Commons next the Sand Lake Hospital. I took my daughter in a couple of weeks ago for the 1st appt because she was complaining about her foot hurt and they checked her, said she had to have x-rays. They sent us upstairs to Drew Medical for the x-rays. We took the x-rays back to Dr. McDowell and she checked her again, we talked and we were on our way in 45mins - 1hr. I didn't finish filling out the paperwork til after the visit. I was amazed and had never been in a doctors office with service such as that. I'm thinking of switching my OB/GYN too. If you're looking for one in that area this is the best office. And they are soooo nice. Visit the site: www.paof.com

We take our 10 month old daugher to Dr. Zane Kalter. He's a one man show. And he seems to always be available. The only day he doesn't have hours is on Sunday. He's great and we couldn't be happier.
