Hi S.- Do you have the 'points' for fibromyalgia; that is what it sounds like. Have you been tested for Lyme disease? There's a lot of it here. That said, try a nutritional specialist. Mine is Hiunter Yost, and I love him! Well, I don't, but I have been feeling much better. It is OK to take an antidepressant if you are in a lot of pain. You will be able to function, at least, without crying all the time. He'll put you on a diet- yes, mine cuts out most sugars as well as gluten and dairy-, and he'll recommend supplements. Try it, you'll like it.
Currently, I am on citalopram for the tranquilizer and tamazepam for sleeping, but have been able to cut back on the citalopram when I am feeling well. Fibromyalgia diagnosis was made about five years ago now. Of course you are depressed- your body has turned against you, and you are in pain. No one is willing to give you any answers. I was lucky- I went to a pain specialist first, not a regular MD. It has since been confirmed by University of Washington med. school staff, so I have a little paper, which I no longer need, to get me out of having to work, if necessary. Am now working full-time, taking my meds, on my diet, and doing well most of the time. Very tired on weekends, and a little fuzzy in the head if I do too much, but that is it.
Good luck, hope it helps- S.
