Thank you all for your help....i appreciate it more than words can express. Do i understand that the consensus is that south of town is the best? Hooray...that target is coming! Is mops (mothers of preschoolers) big in brunswick? Do you have a ymca or rec. Center that is family oriented? Thatnk you all ladies!!!

HI D.,
Welcome to Brunswick!! Ok, I have to be up front w/you...there is NO (good) SHOPPING!! =-) That is until this summer...we're getting a whole new shopping center (Target, etc, etc!) We are all one school district here with new schools going up. I'd say south of town or even just over the Camden co line is the place to be (nice neighborhoods, newer schools - I'm a teacher here (with preschool), and is mostly all new!) We have actually just started a new church (about 2 years now) - non-denominational Holy Spirit Filled - on the south end. I have a 3 year old daughter as well and would be glad to answer any more specific questions that you have!

D., I too will be moving to Brunswick within the next couple of months. I also sent out a "cry for help" in where to move back in September but got no responses - maybe you will have better luck. We are originally from Ohio as well - Cleveland area. My husband is starting with FLETC there in mid-November, the kids (6, 2 and 8 mos) and I will come later, hopefully we can find a home to get into right after the first of the year.

So basically I can't help you with your question of where to move to but it sounds like we might have a bit in common and I wouldn't mind touching base with you once we all get settled. Let me know how your home search goes.

Welcome to the area (ALL of you who have recently moved here). I have lived in the area most of my life and love it. I am 27 with a 2 year old girl and twin girls on the way. Currently, I live on the north end of town, near Fletc, but my husband and I are looking to move to the south end of town in the next year or so. The area around exit 29 is really growing and much more family oriented. They are zoned for the best schools (in my opinion) and there is a lot of new growth on that end of town with lots of younger families. There are some newer neighborhoods on the north end of town on Harry Driggers Blvd that are also zoned for pretty good schools, but I personally prefer the ones on the other end of town. Let me know if there is anything else you need to know!
