I am a stay at home mom and I also, work three days/week as a medical assistant for a busy surgeon. I never finished college to get my nursing degree, so, I would like to pursue my nursing degree online. I would just like to know if anyone out there knows of any local colleges that has online programs for a nursing degree. I have checked out the other online programs but, they're not local. they would like for students to start online but, finish at their campus in another state. with my family being here it would be hard for me to travel so far away. I would need a local college that has everything here so, I can finish nearby.

Hi- I'm actually graduating from FDU's 2 year accelerated program this summer. If you have a bachelor's in another curriculum or have enough crdits accumulated from another college you can get in. It's not on-line, though classes start at 5:00 so I don't know if that would work for you. I have 2 little ones myself and made it. One thing I do know, no college will transfer over any nursing courses you took somewhere else. They'll only take the sciences like microbiology, A&P, etc. So you would have to take Fundamentals at FDU, but you'll be done in 2 years. It's worth it, hope it helps!
my sister in kansas is taking a nursing course with dervy....i know dervy, but they do have a great program.... check it out.
well iam also a mom of three children and one baby on the way! Right now iam unemployed and looking for a temporary job. But I also didnt finish college so right now iam interest in a lpn school just to just my feet wet and then get go on to become a rn. I am not having any luck with finding a lpn program that not in nj but in nyc. So pls help.
