Seeking Childcare Info for the Dallas Area

I think it depends on the location in Dallas. The more North you go as in cleaniness,safety,health,etc.
I live in Carrollton and I worked at in kindercare in Carrollton NEVER again. They stuck me in a room w/18 12-18 month olds all by myself and that i know is against the law plus my son which at the time was 10 months and had separation anxiety they were not comforting him to his needs, needless to say i was only there 2 days.
I think the going rate in Plano,North Carrollton is 225 a week for an infant and not sure about the 3 yr old.

It's been a year since I shopped daycare costs, but in Dallas you could probably expect $700 at a minimum. I think I have friends who pay $800 or $850. I believe they use private centers though. The "chain" centers may be less expensive. Check http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/ for other information on childcare too (registration, violations, etc).

I have found Primrose to have an excellent program--where the kids are actually engaged--not just watching TV all day and the prices are not bad. They fluctuate depending on which location you choose. The one in Coppell is about $175 for the 3 yr old and $200 for the infant.

Not sure if you are moving to Dallas county or any of the subburbs. We have our kids in Carrollton, which is North of Dallas. We pay $160.00 per child per week. We live in Frisco (further north) and the average price we found for our 3 year old is 155.00, but 180.00 for our 1 1/2 year old.
