HELP!!!! I am a teacher and mother of a 10 month old little angel, and we live in the Plainfield area. Our full time sitter had some family concerns, and can no longer care for my babe full time. School starts next week, and I find myself scrambling to find a loving, safe, stimulating environment where my baby will be happy and close to me should he need me. I am a big believer in attachment parenting, breastfeeding, and natural health care and would love to find someone who vibes with my beliefs, but the main wish is to get someone who will treat my baby with love and dignity. As a teacher, I would also love for him to be stimulated on an educational level in a fun way. I am having a difficult time gathering my thoughts for interview questions. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please help!!!

Hi Rachael,
I don't know where you teach, so I don't know if my home would be convenient for you or not. I have a home daycare in Bolingbrook and have lots of room for your son and lots of experience with infants. If you would like more info and references, please feel free to call me or email, at ____@____.com daycare is listed on mamasource as Mary's Little Lambs Family Daycare. My daughter is also a teacher, so I know this is a stressful, but exciting time of year for you. Good Luck.

I don't know if you are interested in daycare centers or not but we've used Elite Children's in Plainfield at Renwick and RTE 30 for almost 2 years. They are wonderful. There is not a high turnover rate of teachers. All of them are loving and professional. Plus Elite has terrific resources to educate and stimulate the children. My daughter knows her colors, shapes, ABC's and can count to 10, and she always seems to have a good time. (She'll be 3 in December). It's a great place for kids.
As a stay at home mommy of two children, a brilliant 4 year old girl and a beautiful 7 1/2 month little girl, I can appreciate your struggles. While I am not an established daycare center or a licensed child care provider, I do believe in loving children and making sure they are in a safe and loving environment. My oldest daughter was in a daycare setting and it made me a nervous wreck so I can appreciate the anxiety that comes with it. My oldest daughter is going to pre-school in a few weeks and I have spent a lot of time with her teaching her to write her name, identifiy letters, colors and shapes and many other things. We are working on writing now and she is doing quite well. She loves to learn and I love spending time with her teaching her everything we can. As for the baby, we spend a lot of time playing with her toys and singing songs and she is one of the happiest babies I know. If I can be of any help, please let me know. I would love to watch your baby boy, if it worked out for you. Let me know if you have any questions.
Our state licensed daycare/preschool offers a safe, clean and secure environment, where your child will be loved and nurtured, with lots of hugging, holding, singing, and playing. Your child’s care will include his/her own crib or cot for napping. Lil’ Miracles Children’s Center offers a separate Infant Room, Walking Toddler Room as well as our Preschool-Age Room. Communication with a parent is a must, and we do, daily. “Toddler/Infant Grams” are used to give you a detailed list of what your child did and ate during the day, and it gives you the opportunity to let us know how your child was at home, before coming to Lil’ Miracles Children’s Center. Our parent board informs you in many ways. The daily schedule is posted as well as the weekly menu. The monthly overview, informs you of the educational theme, songs, and activities to do at the daycare or at home. Lesson plans, which are based on your child’s age and level of development, teach the children about the world around them, and include activities to develop the social/emotional, physical, and intellectual skills of your child. The curriculum is age-appropriate and compliant with NAEYC and Early Head Start guidelines which builds early math, language, science concepts through hands-on activities, promoting family involvement, No Child Left Behind and Kindergarten Readiness. Our 3 year olds are READING and work on kindergarten level curriculum, 4 yr olds read and work on 1st grade level curriculum!!!!!!
