I am looking for a dentist, who accepts medicaid, in the Southfield area. I have just got medicaid for my kids and their dentist does not accept it. Anyone know of a good dentist in the area, I would really like a recommendation for someone good with kids.

Thanks for all your input, it is really hard to find dentists that take medicaid. I did actually find one in Southfield on Greenfield Road, near 12 Mile. The dentsit is Nazir Mansour and #, if anyone needs it, is ###-###-####. I have an appointment for a couple of weeks time. Thanks for your advice mamas.
I can tell you where NOT to go. Don't go to Especially for kids with Angela Rogers. She told me that my 3 year old had 5 Cavities!!! She prescribed a sedative for him and said he would need novacaine and nitrus. I decided to get a second opinion. Turns out he had one tiny cavity that the dentist was able to fill in 10 minutes on the spot, with no pain killers! She can't be trusted!!!

It is difficult to find a dentist that accepts Medicaid. I am an adoptive mother of 3 and they came with Medicaid. I have had a difficult time finding anyone who accepts it, but I finally found a Great Expressions office in Wayne, Mi that does. I also received the following list from one of our counselors:

She has been in business for a number of years. The office is absolutely beautiful and they are very professional, organized and sensitive to the needs of the little ones. I don't know if she accepts Medicaid. It is worth a call. She does excellent work and is very gentle in your mouth.
