My fiance and I have lived in the Leawood area since November of last year. I work from home so I haven't met many people yet. I am looking for a family dentist in the area. I have a crown on my front teeth that needs to be repaired and my dentist is back home in South Dakota. I would also like someone that is great with kids.

Peppes Dental!!! We've recommended Dr. Greg Peppes to many friends and no one can believe how quick and thorough he is. He seems to really LOVE being a dentist and his staff is awesome. Not sure what part of Leawood you are in...if you're in old Leawood, Brookside is not too far from you. Dr. Lynn Crawford (a male) is at 516 E. 63rd. Call ###-###-####. He is very gentle with all his patients and will not sell you a bill of goods! He has been in practice for over 20 years. Also, he does all the cleanings, so you get a doctor, not a hygentist cleaning your teeth.
I LOVE Dr. Michael Kahn. I haven't taken our daughter to him yet, but he has kids and is very friendly. I have had excellent experiences with him. He's on 135th and I think Nall? I can't remember the cross street off the top of my head. For the kids, if you want a strictly pediatric dentist, Dr. Hemberger is amazing. He was my dentist when I was a kid and he's still practicing. Good luck!

She is great. I am going to be transfering my kids to her for their next appointment. And Trish is FABULOUS. The office staff is GREAT too. They are really good at tracking down the insurance information and such.
I was initially nervous about going to her - I have had terrible experiences with dentists and had fallen in love with Dr. O'Sullivan - whose practice she took over. But he obviously did a great job bringing her on board!
Iron Horse Dental (151st & Nall) is very nice and the Dentists & Hygenienists are great. They see all ages - my kids (5 & 3) absolutley love going there. Another added bonus is that they also do orthodontic work, which I see as a huge benefit in the future as my kids get older.

Parkway Plaza Dental is the best dentist's office I have ever been to. 135th and Roe. The even have a Wii.
I just moved here also and did the dentist search. After asking around a lot I think we have found some great dentist. My husband and I go to Dr. Richard Patrick at College and Roe. For the kids, Dr. Micheal LeBlanc at 143rd and Metcalf. His office is so worth the bit of a drive. My kids loved it. They ask to go back. Fun office, great staff, video games for the kids to play, they get tokens during their cleaning to redeem at the end in prize machines and lasty they got soft ice creams before we left. Can't beat it. It was a great experience for my kids. Ages 6,4,3 and 1.

She saved a tooth of mine that saved me from having a bridge at age 30, she's done 2 or 3 filling replacements for me and is so gentle and conservative (doesn't take out more tooth than necessary) that I don't get shots of novacaine or numbing. She's awesome--truly a professional and with deep expertise. And, she's really nice.
