Seeking Doula Recommendations

Hi E.-I had my last baby thru a midwife in Chicago-she does deal with doulas in her office and there are two that have been very highly spoken of. I do not know if they go out to Evanston. You can call the office at ###-###-#### and inquire. I used their acupuncturist and massage therapist and they were great!!

I will second the postings to contact birthways. They are AWESOME. I even had a doula who was single without children and she was (I think) even better because she was way way more available than any mother could be. She was amazing and young and energetic and really on the ball. She is also training to be a midwife so she is totally passionate about birth. Give them a call -- today. And do not think someone without children should be out of the question - you may be very pleasantly surprised. I felt the same way you do and boy, was I wrong. I had a great experience and wish I could have her at 10 more births!
