Looking to change my son's Pediatrician from Advocate Medical Group in Glenview. We belong to Lutheran Gen. Hosp. His Pediatrician gives me mediocre avice like: "keep doing what you're doing" and not much else. My son is up for his 18 month check-up so I'm looking to switch.

What can I do next?

You can try Dr. Paul Bolton. He's a pediatrician and is out of Lutheran General. My friend uses him and said he's a laid back kind guy, but very nice. She's gone to him for all 3 of her kids.

I go to Lutern General--in the adjacent building--its an Advocate & my doctors name is Dr Crawford & I really like her--they have 6 or 7 other doctors in the practice, if you dont like her. ###-###-####

We have been using Suburban Pediatrics in Park Ridge for 7.5 years and love them. Dr Joyce is our favorite, next would be Dr Verges. They are also out of LGH and are affiliated with Children's. I have never had a problem getting my kids in when sick, even if it's already mid-day when I call, most times I still get in that day. Great nurses too. (847) 296- 8127 is their number. Good Luck!

I take my son to Park Ridge Pediatrics. It is not located in Lutheran General, but they are affiliated with LGH. (Which makes parking much easier!) There are four female doctors in the practice. We've been to see them all, and all of the nurses are great too! One of the nurses usually answers the phone and can give you advice right away if your child is sick. The docs are wonderful about answering their after hours pages if your child is sick when the office is closed. They are great about scheduling appointments when you need one too!

Suburban pediatrics is where I have taken my three kids, and I went there as a child (new doctors now of course). Dr. John Joyce is my favorite, but we have done real well there with all of them. Located above the National City bank on Greenwood, across from Golf Mill Mall. Just a suggestion.

We go to Dr. Nicholas Tapas in Glenview, his number is ###-###-####. We can't say enough about him - he is great, ahead of the curve when it comes to FDA recommendations, etc. I have a 3 year old boy and 6 month old girl and have confidence in what he says. Each exam is completely thorough and he evaluates each child separately. We like him so much that we travel to go to him. I hope this helps. He is in Glenview but is with the Lutheran General Group.

I like Park Ridge Pediatrics located in downtown Park Ridge, just a few blocks from the Pickwick Theater. Affiliated with Lutheran General.
