Looking to change pediatricians and would prefer one that is highly recommended and associated with either Baylor, Presby Dallas, or Medical City. Would like a Ped that offers the option (or all shots are) preservative free in terms of the vaccinations. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Dr. Shinn and Dr. Burns are both females and work together so they both can have quality time at home with their own family. They are great and my Doctor at Presby recommended them to me. Their great and are even open on weekends and have a separate area for the sick kids. They are located across from Presby on the corner of Walnut and Greenville.

When I chose my pediatrician, he was listed as one of the best in D Magazine. Just because they picked him made me interview him before the birth of my daughter in 2002 but his staff and his skills have kept me there.

I live at least 25 minutes away and refuse to choose a doctor closer to home.

I had several things I was looking for when I chose a doctor. I wanted a mild manner so my daughter would not be nervous. I wanted the doctor to have privileges at Children’s in case something terrible happened and I was giving birth at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas which is also picked as the number one place to have a baby and I wanted him to be able to come check on her at the hospital which he did every single day and we were there seven days. I NEVER EVER wait in the office. They have two separate entrances for sick and well children. I love the staff and I love our doctor. I am moving to Fort Worth in December and I will not change unless I have to.

The most important thing is that my daughter loves him and the train he has in his office that goes around the top of the ceiling.

Hi M.-
I ahve worked for North Dallas pediatrics for 13 years- love them! The office# is ###-###-####. They have an office in Medical City as well as Plano and Frisco. All of the MD's have privledges at MCD. The Med city office is nice as it is a satalittle and tends to be quiet and very efficient.
Call and set up an intervew appointment w/ one of the docs- it is free :-)

That being said- there is no such thing as a preservative free vaccine. They have to have preservative in them to keep them from becoming contaminated-
Check this out http://www.fda.gov/CBER/vaccine/thimerosal.htm#pres

Feel free to e-mail w/ any questions!
