My hair is overdue a good cut. Do any of you moms with striaght hair use a relatively inexpensive stylist ($40 or less for cut & dry) in the SW Fort Worth area that you're really excited about?

What can I do next?

I go to Carol Palacios. She charges $15.00 for a cut and blow dry. She is located on Westcreek in a little shopping center. I believe the name of the shop is The Hair Palace. I have been going to her for 6 1/2 yrs for my nails and hair. Her phone # is ###-###-####.

I have gone to Shelton's Salon for over 25 years. You can call and get an appt. with one of their newer stylists that don't charge as much as their long time stylists. I think they are all good and are trained at Ogle. I go to Carol Eller, but charges more than $30, but she does a great job. It is cheaper if you don't have them blow dry it. They are located on Hulen Street in the same shopping center as Snookies, and next door to Dorian Furniture.

You need to drive to Arlington, off I-20 at Little Rd. is the best. I have used her for years and people drive from Southlake because she is so good. Sharon Gardner at Legacy Salon behind I-HOP. ###-###-####. $18.00 for a hair cut!!! Awesome. That is at the edge of FW and Arl. so probably close for you.

Hi B.,

It is so hard to find someone good! I was very lucky to find Mandy. She's at Moda Salon on Camp Bowie. It's an Aveda Salon so not only is she great, but the products are fantastic. I always get a great cut and she's amazing with color too. She does highlights that I only have to get touched up every 6 months--she's WONDERFUL. I will tell you I have a crazy amount of long, thick hair and she has to spend more time thinning than anything else, so I pay $55 for a cut and style, but it's less if you have a normal amount of hair and less if you just get it cut. I really can't say enough good things about her. If you decide to try her out tell her K. Lawrence sent you! :) Good luck!

I use Irene out of La Terre Salon. She just moved to a new salon just by TCU; I had a hard time finding someone I liked who was affordable, and I've really enjoyed her. An added bonus for me, I also have 2 small busy boys, is she is super FAST, but also very good, so I'm in and out in 30-45 min max for a wash/cut/and style. She charges right around $45 if I recall correctly (I usually get a brow wax as well, so I can't remember the cut price exactly). Anyway, her number is ###-###-#### (if you go there, give her my name so she'll know who referred you, and I think she actually gives a discount for a first time cut???)

Hi B., I found a stylist awhile back that my family has been using (and my friends now too). She is at Fort Worth Chic. Her name is Emelie Badgett. She does great work. Haircut and style/dry is $40. She just cut my daughter's hair this week! Fort Worth Chic is located in a strip center off of Bryant Irvin, close to the Albertson's and Harris Pkwy. Her number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

Ok...I'm just now checking my emails and I just recently got a hair cut....and my hair was very long. I actually took a risk and went to Ogle School off Bryant Irvin and they did a very good job. The lady that did my hair was named Morgan Perkins....I got a hair cut and highlights...and it was only 35 for everything....I couldn't believe. So for now on...I'm going there because of the price and the work was really good. If you need anymore info..feel free to email me.
