Bear Valley Church at 10001 W Jewell Ave in Lakewood, CO (at the northeast corner of Jewell and Old Kipling - next to the lake)

Go to: www.bvchurch.org to see the programs for everyone. You can even listen to some of the sermons by Pastor Jim to get an idea of what the church service is like. Go talk with Sylvia Copps, children's pastor.

You can email me with any questions at ____@____.com to find out more. This church has been an important part of my family's life for not only me and my husband but also for our two kids (now grown) and our three grandkids ages 5, 7, and 13 who now love visiting this church when they are here for a few weeks during the summer.

Hi!

We go to Green Mountain United Methodist Church. It is on Cedar in the Green Mountain area of Lakewood. Very kid friendly, lots of activities for kids. I have a 3rd grader and she is involved in the kid's choir and kid's chimes. She just did the Christmas program yesterday. It was very cute! It is a smaller congregation and has a family feel. I really like it there. There are youth groups for 6th grade through 12th grade. The youth group had a Christmas party last night, my 7th grader went and he had fun.

Good morning!
We attend Ward Road Baptist Church in Arvada- just off of Ward Rd. and 58th Avenue. While it is labeled a baptist church, it truly is closer to a non-denom. than it is baptist. Anyway, we LOVE the pastor and his wife, the jr. high and high school youth groups are amazing, my daughters are in the kid's class and I have seen them come out of their shells since we started attending a year ago. It is an active church with missions, food (I think that's the baptist part :)), celebrations, women's ministry (bible study, secret sister, eat, etc.), men's ministry (they hike, shoot, eat, study, etc.), and great family nights. Sundays are sunday school at 9:30a and service after and Wednesdays at 7p for a more in-depth study discussion. We have learned so much about ourselves, our family, and the love of Christ at WRBC.

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are a very family focused church, with plenty of youth and children programs. There is also specific programs/enrichment activities for the women as well. It's fairly structured/organized by where you live as to what buiding/time you would go that would be with people that live in your area. I'm sure there's a 9am service in the building off of the 6th Ave frontage road just west of Simms that you could stop in on. Or check out www.lds.org and you can just type in your address and it will tell you which service is closest to you.

Hi Y. -
I know people who go to the Rock and love it - We go to Foothills Bible Church (C-470 & Bowles - you can see it from the highway). They have an amazing kids program. My kids are 8 yrs and 4.5yrs and Love it! There are so many things to do- Awana's club, Choir, Sunday School, Playgroups, VBS (Vacation Bible School), Basketball, Softball... LOTS of stuff!

I hope you at least check them out. I've worked with the children's program there for many years and it is remarkable. They even have a Pre-School/Kindergarten there - I realize you are past that, but just so you know.

For adults, there are many bible studies, choir, groups-depending on your need - Women's bible studies with childcare should you need it.

It is a big church that feels like a small one. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Good luck and God Bless-
C.

I go to Grace Community Church in Westminster. You can check it out at www.gccdenver.org. It's part of Sovereign Grace Ministries, a church planting organization. There is a parent/teen ministry that the 6th grader could be a part of and Care Groups that the whole family can attend.

I go to a really great church in Littleton called The Rock of Southwest. It is nondenominational and a really great church. There are kids activities for all ages, I am in the choir, and there are many different classes and studies for the adults. We are also planting a new church in the bear creek area of Lakewood. If you would like more info, I would be happy to share it! Next Sunday is our big Christmas celebration. There will be a big production with acting, multi-media, and choir. There are 4 services, 8:30, 9:50, 11:15, and 6:30pm. The church is located near the intersection of Kipling and Bowles, on Alamo.
