Looking for a great pediatrician. I have 2 girls (5yrs. and 2yrs.) and we are expecting our 3rd (a baby boy) Christmas Day! I have heard good recommendations about Dr. Christopher Dreiling with Ped. Assoc. of Dallas. Although, I hear that the nursers/staff are not as friendly. My 5yr. old is very social and talkative and does not do well with "dry" or inattentive people. My 2yr. old absolutely hates going to the doctor and needs to be warmed up to before she will trust you to even touch her! I live in Plano but do not mind driving to Dallas etc. for a great doc. All recommendations are appreciated!

What can I do next?

My son's go to Dr hector Hidalgo and I absoultely LOVE him. I have known him since I was 14 when I was babysitting his kids.
His staff is wonderful:) I once had to take my youngest to the ER 3 times over the weekend and he specifically told the on call Dr to call him directly when I called because Karson was running 104.5 temp and his white blood counts were low and he called me 4 times a day to check in on him and saw me on Sat morning and Monday morning before anyone. That is when we realized that it was RSV..

He is at Trinity Pediatrics and works w/Plano Presby. he is at North Dallas Tollway and Parker just off of Communications.

If you would like more info please message me and I would love to help.

I take my daughter to Dr. Brown at Pediatrics of Dallas. I've never had a problem with the nurses. I love it there. Everyone there is so nice. One time Dr. Brown was late because he was coming from Children's and the nurses kept coming in to check on us and entertaining my daugther. Dr. Brown is great and we've seen Dr. Dreiling once before. They also have an office in Plano.
Good luck!

We take our daugher (almost 4) and newborn son to Plano Pediatrics, Dr. McDonald. We have been very pleased with him and his staff. He has a knowledgeable and practical approach to the wide variety of health issues we've had, from chronic ear infections, allergies, jaundice, skin rashes, and many more. During the phase when my daughter was afraid of men, we saw his nurse practicioner a lot, and love her as well.

They are across from Medical Center of Plano. ###-###-####.

We go to Dr.Daniel Nale @ Medical City Dallas. I highly recommend him. He and his staff are wonderful! They really care about their patients. All of the staff act as if they know the children and are always anxious to see them and hear what is going on with them. Everytime I go in there he has unlimited amount of time and always makes my baby feel welcome. He is the only person who sees his patients, he feels he is responsible for them so you never have to worry about who you will be seeing this time. I called on Fri. of this past week at 3:30 because I was concerned about an ear infection and they told me to bring my baby in after 5 that evening. His nurse and Dr. Nale proceeded to spend nearly 30 minutes w/us until he had been completely checked over.

Here is his information.

We also go to Ashworth and LOVE her! She is in a great location and can always fit us in. She has been so good to us. I love her staff. Everyone is so sweet to me and my son. Dr. Ashworth plays with him and he feels very comfortable around her. She was recommended to me by a friend who has an amazing story of how Dr. Ashworth diagnosed her son when no one else did. (long story)

Anyway, strong rec for her from us! Good luck with your search! :)

I adore our pediatrician and even if we lost all insurance, I would never leave her and pay out of pocket to keep her!! She is my fourth pediatrician and the first one who ever took me seriously about a condition my infant son had. 3 other pediatricians blew me off. She fought for me and helped me find the specialist I needed. She helped me find a cure for a nasty infection that my infant son had had from age 2 months until we went to her when he was a year old. I had been through 3 pediatricians already who just blew me off and sent me home. We finally got his condition under control at 13 months of age and have been maintaining it beautifully for 4 years now---all because Dr. Ashworth knew something was wrong and made sure we fixed it.

Then, when my daughter was born with a heart murmer, when she was a few weeks old, Dr. Ashworth said it was gone and she was just fine....BUT did I want to take her to a pediatric cardiologist for reassurance. I said that while I did trust her, I really wanted a specialist to give her a full EKG and check up to make sure there was nothing she missed. Dr. Ashworth was fabulous and immediately sent me off to a great pediatric cardiologist. She was right, everything was fine, but she understood my need for reassurance and she always takes your concerns seriously!

I can not recommend her enough.....

I adore my girls' pediatrician. My daughter was born with Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome) and she had to break the news to me a couple of hours after her birth. She really struggled the first few months because she also had a heart condition which eventually required open heart surgery at 4 months old. She wouldn't take a bottle and eventually had a feeding tube put in. During all our struggles, Dr. Ramirez was wonderful and did everything possible to make sure our baby thrived and got the help she needed. She would come up to the hospital on weekends when my daughter was there, and every specialist she recommended (pediatric cardialogist, pediatric surgeons, etc.) was wonderful. Dr. Ramirez was constantly giving us free formula samples, too. I just love her. My daughter is now about to turn 1 and is doing great - thanks in large part to Dr. Ramirez.

She's in Plano near Parker and Preston. I highly recommend her. She has a small office with only one nurse but I've never had any trouble getting in to see her. And I never have to wait long at appointments, either. Her name is Dr. Miranda Ramirez and her number is ###-###-####.
