I'm looking for someone to do my hair and make-up for my wedding this September. I have long hair and just want a partial updo. I was going to go my own make-up to save money, but am thinking I should treat myself since it only happens once! Does anyone have any recommendations for a local salon in the McKinney, Plano, Frisco area or someone that could come to me on the square in McKinney. I'm 35 and finally becoming a Mrs!
Thank you all for your input, I really appreciate it! I've made a couple of inquiries and will keep you posted.

D., I don't know a hair salon in McKinney, but I can recommend a make up artist/ cosmetic consultant. Her name is Josi Lauritzen. This is her personal business- otherwise she is a stay at home mom in Richardson. She is a customer of mine- and during the few months we were working with her and her husband, she did make up for several weddings. Her personal make up is always impeccable and she's a very perky and creative person. I don't know what she charges, but it's worth a call. her # is ###-###-#### and her website is www.beautybyjosi.com. congratulations by the way!
Congrats on your upcoming wedding. You might try a beauty school, they are less expensive, the teachers are there to make sure the students do a great job and will step in if they need to. A great one is the Ogle School, but it is in Dallas at Mockingbird and Abrams, they do hair, make-up and you can even get a mani/pedi too!
Good luck in your search!

Congratulations and enjoy your day!
Anna at the Salon at Eaton Court is great for hair. They offer all the services you want but I only get my hair done so I don't know who is great with make-up. The front office people are super as well and could walk you through it. Their website is www.eatoncourt.com
Blessings,
M.
my recommendation is just that you go and let them do your make-up at least two weeks before your big day to make sure you don't have any kind of reaction to the products they use
congrats!
Call Donna Gabriel - she is awesome and has been doing this for awhile for your hair - not sure if she travels or what the exact plan is but just discuss it with her and she will let you know if she can do it...

I can recommend 2 places right on the square in McKinney. I go to Leslie at Balise Hair & nail, directly across from the MPAC on Louisiana. I've also been to Essence of Eve spa upstairs for massages, and they are FANTASTIC. I'm sure either upstairs or down they could hook you up with makeup. I've also been to Salon 209, also on Louisiana but 1/2 block past the square. They did a good job of what they did, but it wasn't really my style--they are more "big hair, big makeup" kind of people, and I'm more of a natural kinda girl. But, depending upon your personal style, either one might be worth checking into.
Rene' Teague at Rene's Lagniappe Hair Design is fabulous and will come to your home or place of business to do your hair & makeup. Her salon is at 4610 Eldorado Parkway in McKinney and her website is www.hairbyrene.com .
Congratulations and hope everything goes well on your "special day"!

Congratulations!!! =)
I go to the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa at Willow Bend Mall for lots of things. They do complete Bridal packages and, while I've never done that, their other services are wonderful, so I'd expect this to be the same.
Have Fun!!
