Hello, my name is C. and I have 2 children...Hannah will be 3 in aug. and evan is 6 months. I'm looking for playgroups or even maybe a preschool so that my daughter can interact with other children (i'm currently a stay at home mom looking for part time work). I need something that is not expensive where as we only have one income at the moment...If anyone could help that would be great.

I don't know what part of town you are in but there are several really good Early Childhood PTAs in the area. Greater White Rock Area can be found in yahoo groups - search for GWRA ECPTA. Good luck.
Hi, C.. I belong to a wonderful MOPS group at my church. Mops stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. It's a Christian based organization in churches across the country and abroad. We meet every other Friday for fun, fellowship and food. Of course not all groups do the same things. Our kids attend a MOPPETs program in age appropriate classrooms. This might be a good idea for your child to get into a preschool-type setting only one day every other week. Our group charges $65 for the semester and that covers everything. You can go to the website at www.mops.com and locate a group near you.
Another suggestion is a wonderful little preschool called The Shepherd's School on Swiss Avenue near the Dallas Theological Seminary and Baylor Hospital. They take enrollments on a part time basis and you can pay based on your income. My 4 year old daughter is there 3 days a week.
