There is the Newcomers club of macomb. They have a lot of activities for children. Their website is www.newcomersclubofmacomb.com
Our daughter just turned 1 year old and we are looking for daytime play groups in the area. Or if someone knows of a play center that is for children in the 1 year old range for her to socialize and get out of the house in the Winter. We looked into Gymorbee classes however, they are too expensive. Any kind of feedback would be appreciated!

E.,
There is a MOPS group in Shelby Township that I belong to that is wonderful. It's held at Shepard's Gate Lutheran Church on 23 Mile Road (just across from Walmart). If you're interested and would like to know more just send me a private message. :)
I teach Kindermusik in Rochester Hills.. M 59 and Rochester Road area.. I recognize it's an expense, but I am cheaper than teachers in the area since I'm able to teach out of my home studio.
Let me know if you'd like more info. The classes are small and the mom's get to know each other well.

Our local YMCA had a play group that we participated in. I am not sure if all the YMCA's have this or not though. We used the North Oakland location. Also, check with your community education centers - maybe less expensive
