I am seeking a play group for my 2 yr old daughter. There are NO kids her age where we live and I would also like to meet new mom's in our area. I am a SAHM and we get very bored at times. Our area is an older established area and no families our age so we don't get to mingle with the neighbors and no one has kids the age of ours. I also have an 8 yr old who likes to make new friends. Right now he only has two friends that live near by and one of them I would rather him not play with. He is a bully to him and doesn't treat him with respect. Sorry to keep babbling I just hope to find a palymates close for my kids. Thank You!! PS. We live near McKellips and Mesa Dr.

I have been to many storytimes (in borders and barnes and noble etc) but I think the best ones are at the library. Check the times if they have them. And the moms are regular so maybe you can make more friends that way. OR, just look up that moms club website...?
I am in a meet up group called Laughing Little Ones. The organizer lives near Gilbert and Southern- which is fairly close to you. We often meet at her home and when the weather is a little cooler, we go to the zoo, various parks, mueseums, etc. The kids' average age is about 2. Check out www.meetup.com and search Laughing Little Ones in Mesa.
MOPS or MOMS is also a great idea. I don't know of any in your area. I attend the MOMS program at Cornerstone Church in south Chandler. Maybe you could try a google search.

I think Mothers of PreSchoolers (MOPS) is a fantastic group! There are groups all over the valley -- I know Word of Grace church has groups. You can go to www.mops.org and enter your zip code to find more. My kids are older now, but my years with MOPS were awesome. I enjoyed time with moms, and my kids made friends, and it helped me be a better mom and have fun too!

I am N. Peters, I am from the Phoenix area. I have 3 daughters, a 2 year old that turns 3 in September, a 4 year old, and a 9 year old. I don't live in Mesa, but I go everywhere. I have family, friends, and work in the Mesa area. I live in Surprise and my parents live in the central Phoenix area and help me with the girls when I work. My cell # is ###-###-####.
