I am looking for a group of new mom's with one young one. I have lots of great friends with kids but all with and older child plus one. It really changes the activities that you are interested in when you have an older child. I would love to connect with other new mom's in Longmont area.
Have you tried meetup.com? There a lot of moms groups on there and you can even just search for groups in Longmont. Not sure if there any particularly for moms with one kid but it woudn't hurt to look. Good luck!
Have you tried finding a group on www.meetup.com? There are lots of moms groups there; I think there is at least one for Longmont. Look for a group that does a lot of activities, has kids the same age as yours, and has members that live close to you . I had to try a couple of groups before I found one that was right for me and my son. The group I ended up in is really great - I don't know what I would have done without it! If you don't find a group, you could always start one yourself. Good luck!
It is wonderful to have friends who have kids the same age as yours, but truly, don't give up on making friends based on that decision. It always makes me sad when I hear that some people only want to associate with other moms who have kids their kids' age. You could miss out on a lot of great friends out there if you limit yourself. :)
There is a belly dancin' mamas group at my dance studio (Grace Studios School of Dance in Broomfield) you might want to look into. Or, also a mommy and me yoga class. I'd love to give you more info if you'd like! Good luck!
