Evanston Hospital has a free or discounted clinic for low income people. Call ###-###-#### and ask for an appointment with a finacial counselor. I dont think it matters where you live. Good luck.

You should qualify for the Moms and Babies program if your income is relatively modest. If you call the number below, they should be able to help you.
FamilyCare Hotline 1-866-ALL-KIDS (1-866-255-5437)

A write up of all the women's healthcare programs that the state has can be found at:

T. you may have to apply for a medical card probably with Public Aid, or go to the Cook County Hospital for free services or you could go to your neighborhood Free Health Clinic. This is all that I know. Hope this helps.
HI T.,
The WIC Program (http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/) is meant for women and children of low income families. All you have to do is visit a WIC center(see website for locations) and show proof of having low/no income with a statement from employer or school, etc. The program is very efficient and provides you with food stamps to buy needed groceries, and even provides free doctor visits. Once your baby is born, the government also takes care of expenses for delivery, etc.
Good luck!

Hi T.:
Depending on your level of income, you can apply to miedical insurance through KidCare or AllKids. Search online at www.illinois.gov.
Also, if you are in school FT and get midical beneifts through the school, your child may be eligible also.
Good Luck-R.
Illinois now has the All-Kids insurance program in which all children under 18 will be covered by medical insurance -- you may have to pay a small deductible, co-pay, etc. based on your income and family size.
To find out more, you can go to www.allkidscovered.com
I don't know where in Chicago you live, but the Winfield(sp?) Moody clinic on Clybourn north of Division provides treatment as well as has services to get you signed up for a medical card. Good Luck!
