Seeking Moms in or Around Portland, ME

Hey I am 22 yo mom in Portland and I go to the Cummings Center on Congress in the east on Tuesdays for a playgroup. Its at 1:30. I have not been going much lately because my son is sleeping at that time most days. Lots of nice moms go there. I was thinking of having a WHINE AND WINE night. For mamas to hang out and socialize while babies played maybe u would be interested?

Hi B. I am 25 with three children 10, 6, and 2. I understand what you are talking about finding mother around your age and that you have something in common with can be hard. I have my daughter in daycare and we also socialize at early head start once a week. The children play and the parents chat. I also know that the ymca tends to do some play groups. Also have you tried the local library. I know that your baby is 8 months old but many libraries even have reading programs and groups for the littlest ones. I live in Biddeford. It is not that fare away.

Hi B.. I know exactly how you feel. i am a 24 year old mother of 3 (6, 3, 1) I can never find anyone my own age that have kids to hang out with. My oldest is in school and has her friends to play with, however my son (3) has never had any kids his own age to play with unless we are with family (they lie in CT and IN). My youngest lucked out cause one of my friends and I were due a month apart so she has a play mate. I live in South Portland and would love to meet people my age with kids and be able to let the kids play and have conversations with other adults. If you get something started let me know. Hello B.! I work in portland and live in scarborough. I am 25 years old, with 2 step-children. Problem is, most people my age don't have children as old as my step kids! they are 8 and 11 yrs old. I would love to get to know other young mothers around here. it's always great to find people close by that you can relate to!
