Seeking Moms in the Carrollton/Lewisville Area

My kids are a bit older now (7 & 10), but once you start meeting other moms, be sure to take advantage of www.familyeguide.com. We list lots of area activities and parks where moms and their kids to meet each other (or just have a family play day). Our calendar includes lots of events such as summer reading club activities, free movies, outdoor concerts, etc.

We're also in the process of expanding our Directory to include a number of new categories, including Support Groups (such as MOPS, MOMS Club, Lewisville Early Childhood PTA and more). Check back often.

When I had my little one, I joined a class called Square One at Watermark Community church for new moms. It WAS WONDERFUL!! That same group of 10 women and kids still get together as a playgroup now. I would highly recommend it. http://www.watermark.org/children/square-one/

Hi, A.! I have a 9 mo old son and 3.5 yr old daughter! We live in the Arbor Creek area of Carrollton. We try to meet with friends, informally not a group, every friday morning. We are always up to trying new parks or meeting at Willow Bend or Vista Ridge malls on rainy days, or my home (very baby friendly!).

If you work full time, I'd love to meet you either at my home or we can pick a place. Nothing is more fun than sharing your joys with other moms that feel their kids are just as special as yours! Nothing is more cathartic than sharing the frustrations of motherhood too with someone who understands it!

Mothers and More is a great group. Find them online at www.mothersandmore.org There is a Greater LEwisville Chapter that is very active and full of great ladies. You will certainly find someone just like you and just opposite you in our group. The best part is we are all accepting because we are all mothers doing what is best for our families.

We are a new group that has only met twice so far. I know what its like to go to a meetup and feel like the newbie outcast! Thats not the case here...we are all just meeting each other now! One of the things I did when I moved was join a moms group. There are lots of different ones from church-related to the Early Childhood PTA which gets together regularly. I am a member of the Greater Lewisville Early Childhood PTA that meets in Flower Mound. Let me know if you need more information about that.

Also, when you have just a minute or two stop by www.BurbMom.net which is available all the time and has stories from your part of town written by local moms. Writing was the other way I felt like I could connect with other moms especially when your daughter is so small and you may not always feel like getting out of the house.

You should check out the local MOMS Club in the area. You can meet other moms and children for playgroups, activities, etc.

I'm actually part of a great local Mom's group, Greater Lewisville Mothers & More. Without the support of this welcoming mom's group, I'm not sure what I would have done without them when I had my TWO little ones! :D As you can see, "Paige S." is already a member of our great group!
