My wonderful OB GYN is retiring and I am looking for a new one in the Fort Worth area that delivers at Baylor All Saints and will consider a VBAC.

What can I do next?

My doctor has herself deliver VBAC...so she is very open to doing them. And her office is right across the street from Baylor All Saints. Her name is Dr. Carolyn Quist. She allowed me to VBAC 2x after my first child was c-section.

Dr. Charles Langham is wonderful! He does deliver at Baylor All Saints but BAS does not allow VBAC. I know this from personal experience. My 2nd child was a c-section b/c she was breech and I wanted to have my 3rd vbac, my ob was on board and said that I was a great case for a vbac b/c it was not my body that caused the breech situation it was the baby. The hospital however informed me that it was their policy to not allow vbacs. Dr. Langham's info

Dr. David B. McAlpine is a darling. He delivered my 15 yo, my 5yo, handled an ectopic, and finally my hysterectomy. He is at Baylor SW and has his office in the building. Don't know if he's taking new patients.

Whether you are a candidate or not for a vaginal birth I'm sure would have to be determined. FYI, all the doctors wives are getting cesareans to prevent the pelvic floor from weakening and getting all stretched out...

I love my OB/GYN and his staff. His name is Larry Tatum and he just moved his office to the new women's hospital by All Saints'. I started going to him after my children were born (teenagers now) so I cannot answer your VBAC question but I have found him to be very personable, prompt, great support staff, thorough. Good luck with your search.

I agree with the advice re Dr Bradford, she is great as are her partners, particularly Dr Robbins. They will explain the parameters to you to help you feel safe in the process.
Another great idea is Nancy Reedy RN midwife who works in the Andrews Womens Center at Baylor All Saints. She is great and has OB backup for any extra needs. Good Luck to you.\

My Dr is awesome- she really takes her time to answer your questions, etc at appts. Her name is Catherine Maxwell-Hees. Dr Hees is part of a group practice in Fort Worth and also has appts in NRH. The phone number for their practice is ###-###-####. I know they use the new Andrews Hospital for Women there at All Saints in FW for deliveries.

MINE!!! My ob is Dr Ryan, he's in the Harris Southwest suites off Bryant Irvin, and last time I checked, he delivers at Baylor All Saints (Cityview and Downtown, I think). The phone # is ###-###-#### I think... I had to push for my VBAC a couple years ago (my son is 20 mo), but he agreed that as long as everything went smoothly he'd do it. Things went VERY well and I'll be having another in Aug!
If you already have an OB, have you tried pushing for the VBAC? You might have to argue a little with anyone new, but I love love love my ob and he did agree to mine.
Good luck!

I go to a great doc who does it ALL and he delivers at Baylor All Sainst Southwest, I am not sure if he delivers at the one in the hospital district. He is a wonderful doc and I love him to death, he is one of those who makes jokes and acctually takes the time to sit down with you and have a conversation with you before he starts the exam and his staff is great too, I cant say enough about them. His name is Doc Peter J Irwin and his number is ###-###-#### and he is located in the hospital at Baylor southwest off of oakmont. Hope you find him. He is awsome!!!!
