Before looking for a new doctor, maybe you could try tracking your own ovulation. That way, next time you're getting fertility treatments, you could bring in your own chart and say "hey I'm consistently ovulating on day 19; can we shift my treatments to that time?" Now, if he has that information and STILL isn't willing to shift, then I'd definitely say for you to find a new doctor. But if he's willing to adjust your treatment once you have that data, it may be worth it to stick with him, especially if you like him otherwise. I can't say anything one way or the other about acupuncture, since I've never tried it.
Without doing the charting, I would NEVER have know that, even though I have a 28 day cycle, I ovulate on days 19 or 20, NOT day 14. I never had to do fertility treatments, but I can definitely see how they wouldn't work if they're consistently given at the wrong time. Let me know if you have questions on how to determine when you're ovulating. I mean, you COULD spend a bunch of money buying ovulation kits, but it's just as easy (and much cheaper) to simply take your temperature the second you wake up (and before you even get out of bed) every morning.
