World's greatest pediatrician is Dr. Marc Weissbluth, ###-###-####. Worth the small commute. If you didn't notice, I'm an enormous fan :))

Hi C.,

We take our 8 month old to Dr. Perlman at Lakeview Pediatrics. We have seen almost all the other doctors there as well and like them all. We really love the practice and I think it is pretty close to you, since it is on Ashland and Belmont.

Good luck!

R.

I take my 4 year old daughter to Dr. Barbara Slivnick at Children's Health on Halsted and Diversey. She is wonderful and approaches your childs health from a family perspective. She is friendly, warm and a great doctor.

I take my son to see Dr. Todd Ochs at Ravenswood Medical on Wilson and Damen. He is very good with kids, has always been incredibly accessible to us, and my son LOVES him.

Hi we live in Lincoln Square also. We go to Advocate Family Practice on Ravenswood. Our Doctor is Dr. Crotteau, he is wonderful and they have helpful nurses on staff when I have questions.

We go to the Northwestern Children's Practice at 680 North Lakeshore Drive and drive in from the western suburbs. There is reasonable valet parking at the W Hotel next door ($10). We've seen Drs. Daphne Hirsh, Dawn Li, and Scott Goldstein. If your kids have sleep issues, you get a huge discount to see Dr. Weissbluth for a sleep consultation. To us, it's worth the 20 mile drive into the city!

We use Lakeview Peds as well. We use Dr. Newport. When my son was born in the hospital she came in to check him and he had a dirty diaper and she changed it. SHe has provided him with that same level of care and he will be 3 in a fe months. We moved out of lakeview and will drive the 30 mintues to see her

Our kids (now 12 years and 9 years) have seen the same doctor since birth and we all love her - Dr. Elba-Julie Quinones. We've even followed her when she opened her own practice with one other doctor, Dr. Morse. They are located at Pulaski and Foster, not too far from Lincoln Square where we used to live. We now live on the south side and still drive 45-60 minutes to see her; that's how much we love her!

We adore Dr. Anne Wyman at Town and Country Pediatrics on Lincoln (at Devon) so that's pretty close for you. We rarely have to wait there - they run a tight ship with the appointments - although i always try for morning ones so maybe that's why! They also put you in a room right when you get there too which i like. We've been going there 6 years. Dr. Wyman is in her late 50's i think and i just can't say enough good things about her. I also like Dr. Burquist - she is young and newer to the practice but she's great too. I would try to see if you can get in with Dr. Wyman and stick with her. We only see other doctors when it's an emergency and i really like having the consistency of seeing the same person over the years and creating a relationship with them - it makes my kids more comfortable too. Good luck!

Another vote for Lakeview Pediatrics on Belmont, just East of Ashland. We see Dr. Perlman but have seen most of the doctors there and have liked them all.

Dr. Kate Maxouris at Swedish Covenant Hospital is terrific. Very matter of fact and no nonsense, but open to alternative vaccination schedules and encourages parents to do their research and make decisions that are right for their family.
