i have written before regarding vaccines and here i go once again. i have decided to have my five year old get her mmr and dtp shots, her last, before the up coming school year. she's had the rest in the past with no problems and i'm hoping instead of dealing with fighting the school to get her in, it's easier just to get the shots and be done with it. i have already decided to separate the mmr and dtp but does anyone have a ped that will separate the mmr and dtp itself? the ped office i go to said they do not do that. plus, it's time to change, this office is in broward county. thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi C.,

I have replied to one of your posts before. I live in Boynton as well. I take my children to Dr Colon and Dr.Presutti in Coral Springs. Dr. Colon is a holistic ped so I believe she understands the decisions people have avout shots.

Good Luck,
C.

I also live in Boynton....I have had no luck with Pediatric Associates but have found a doctor that does not make vaccinations mandatory and will basically do whatever we ask when it comes to them. My daughter just recently had her 15 month check and we chose to only give her one shot at a time. His name is Dr. Lee Edelstein and I believe that he used to be part of Ped Assc before he ventured out on his own. His office is located at Lantana and Jog in Lakeworth. He's a little goofy when it comes to his personality as you will see by his voicemail but he is great with the kids and it's refreshing to have a doc with a sense of humor......hope that maybe helps...

Check out Palm Beach Pediatrics. They have several offices in Palm Beach County. I am not certain if they will separate the shots. However, I have been taking my son to Dr. Bell since birth and have been very pleased with him.

Hi C.. I've replied to some of your posts before. Although I do not personally vaccinate, I do have a recommendation for you. I go to Pediatric Associates. I go to their Royal Palm office..but I know that they have one in Boynton as well. I see Dr. Santiago, and absolutely love her.( I believe she also practices in Boynton). We do not vaccinate, and she totally respects that decision, so I would imagine that she will work with whatever you need. Their # is ###-###-####. Sometimes that rings into the Boynton location...if not, they can transfer you. The one downside that I find is the wait time. I am not sure how Boynton will be, but I expect a 1 hour wait, and then am pleasantly surprised if it's faster. The tip they have given me is to schedule the first appt after lunch, so that they are not behind. Good luck!!
