I jsut moved to Highlands Ranch on the East side, close to Lone Tree. Any suggestions on a warm, welcoming pediatrician's office would be greatly appreciated!
FYI for anyone looking for a cute preschool, I just enrolled my 3 year old son at Holy Cross Lutheran Church's learning center and he loves it. They have flexible schedules for stay at home moms as well as for working families and are more reasonable financially than the leading franchise day cares. Just thought I would pass that info along! :-)
Thanks everyone for your replies. I will schedule some interviews with the Dr.s you have recommended and I will be back to let you know what happened. I am interested in the Partners in Pediatrics office because of their willingness to think outside the traditional medical box. My son has outgrown his food allergies but he developed a fear of food over the last three years so I need someone who will be able to walk me through this. If anyone has experience iwth this issue, I would love to chat with you! Michael was allergic to milk but he now won't really eat anything other than PBJ, breakfast waffles and toast! Ugh!!

We have a great Pediatrician next to Littleton Hospital. Her name is Nancy Taoka and her # is ###-###-####. She's very warm and friendly and so is her staff. She's alone in the office so you don't have to worry about getting bumped around to docs you've never met. Check her out and good luck!

My son's pediatrician is wonderful. His name is Jason Kalan and he works at Childfirst Pediatrics ###-###-####, press 2 to reach a human right away). He absolutely loves kids. His partner (they back each other up) does also. The staff in the office, the nurses and the PAs are all terrific. They aren't exactly in your area but they're very close and worth the extra five minutes. The office is on Yosemite just north of County Line. Exact address: 7336 S. Yosemite St., Ste. 200, Englewood, CO, 80112.
You can interview Dr. Kalan at no charge to see if you like him. You might also want to meet Dr. Kaplan to see if you and your kids click more with him. Both will meet with you for a few minutes. Oh, I almost forgot Megan, the P.A. She is amazing. My son loves her. Good luck!
Hi A. and Welcome. We moved here a year ago (from all over, laugh) and LOVE it here so far. I also have an 11 year old daughter and live pretty close to you. We see Dr. Delano at Arapahoe Park Peds on Quebec. The office is great (super fast at getting you in and getting appointments), clean, friendly, and the doctors really care. My daughter goes to Dr. Mackenzie (female) at the same office, but I don't think she is currently taking new patients. Good luck!

You've already received alot of really good recommendations, but I must throw one more into the mix... Partners in Pediatrics. They have an office located at County Line & Quebec. The thing I really like about this office is their willingness to consider alternative therapies. Prior to having children, I had never used homeopathic remedies nor did I pay much attention to nutrition and environmental contributors. However, my son changed all that. He actually had adverse reactions to standard medicines so we had to look at other options. I really like the options available.
I also like the fact that they take their own after-hours calls rather than have a nurse- or hospital-line respond to your concerns.
They also provide you with a manual to help you find answers to common questions/concerns. This was a great relief for me. Yet, they will just as easily respond to your phone calls. I liked being able to read about the issue before calling, knowing that I had done everything at home that I could.
It gave me great comfort knowing when I started there that one of the docs was my OB's sister. And that my son's orthopedic surgeon took his six kids there :>
Please do your homework and visit each office. They all will offer their own set of advantages & disadvantages. You just need to find the one that feels right to you.

We attend Pediatitrics @ DTC....I live in the same area that you do (Quebec and Park Meadows Dr.) and it is about a 7 min drive away. (Mineral and Yosemite) We have Dr. Bouzarelous and he is fabulous. He is very warm and will spend as much time as you need with you. (This can be a negative when you are waiting for him though!) We have seen all of the drs in that practice (I think there are 7) and they are all good, but we like Dr. Bouzarelous the best. Their phone # is ###-###-####.
Incidentally, I own a Pre school in your area. It looks like you have found one you are happy with, but if you change your mind, think of us! Learning L.A.M.B.S. Preschool teaches Spanish, sign language, Phonics, Art, Music, Science and Social Studies every day. ###-###-####.
