Our pediatrician is Dr Scott Mercola, he's in River Forest.
My son is 14 and he's been with him since day one he was born.
Not only is he a great Dr he's also a great person. He really talks to the kids like they are important.
He conversates to the kids about school, sports, etc he's just a wonderful Dr, check him out.

We see Dr. Susan Locke in River Forest. She's great and so is her partner Dr. Uchitelle.

Dear J.:

We love Dr. Rebecca Barbato. She's with Loyola University Health System. Her office is on Harlem in North Riverside. She has a great way with kids and parents. Good luck. I think there are many great peds to choose from in this area.

Hi J.. Welcome! We like Pedios on Chicago Ave. The main doctor my kids see is Dr. Claus, but all of the doctors in the practice are good. They have decent hours, and morning call hours when you can talk to a nurse. I've never had to wait long. I believe they either don't take HMOs or only take BCBS HMO. I believe they're affiliated with all the major hospitals including Children's in Lincoln Park as well as Rush and Loyola, but you might want to ask about that if it's important to you.

When we first moved here we went to Ad-Park Pediatrics, which I really can't recommend - long, long waits and they don't open until late in the morning. In all of my experiences with them, they didn't seem very patient-oriented at all.

I would highly recommend Dr. Susan Locke in River Forest. She is on Lake Street just west of Harlem. She is a family doctor so she actually treats our whole family. I have been going to her for about 7 years and my husband for 4. We have a 2 year old boy and a 3 month old daughter that she also treats. She is wonderful! Her partner, Dr. Uchitelle is also very good. We have seen her on a few occassions when Dr. Locke has been out on vacation.

Welcome to Oak Park!

J.,
Dr. Scott Mercola is an awesome pediatrician. I have never seen anyone with such a good bedside manner. He relates well to my children and also listens to me! His firm is called River Forest Pediatrics. He is located between the RF post office and the rr tracks.
