C.: It sounds like you had the ideal Dr. for your children. I don't think i can ever remember waiting a mere 5 minutes for an appt.Your spoiled. lol So be prepared...You may have to join the rest of us crossword,suduku.. freaks in the waiting room from here on in. The first thing i would do, is make sure you got your hands on the transcripts of all your childrens medical records and shot records from your childrens previous Dr. You have no idea how helpful that is,for their next Doctor, and YOU. It certainly will be a must, when School asks for proof of all their required vacines. If I had that much trust in a Doctor, I would ask him for a referal. He probably knows alot of good Pediatricians, himself, that practice much the same. If your not able to get that, then I'd ask your Doctor for the name of a good pediatrician. You trust your Dr,so that could be your last resort. I really don't think the fact he didn't have a dose of nausia medication for your son was a major concern. It's not like he's treating children on a daily basis, and that was something he Should have had in his office at the time. I'm sure, that if he opted to take on some children,as new patients that he would then make certain,he carried appropriate supplies in his office. What I'm trying to say, is if your Dr. was a obgyn, you wouldn't expect him to store a Chickenpox vacine in his office for a kid.lol The nice thing about A Family Dr. treating you all,is that he gets to familarize himself with all your family medical history. and medical needs, and of course your children, become accustom to him also, and feel that much more comfortable, wether it be regular check-ups or when an emergency arises. The very best of luck to you,and your sweet boys.
