I am relocating to Arl. Hts (Ivy Hill area) from Ohio, and I need to find new doctors! Can anyone recommend a pediatrician, family doctor, and/or a good ob gyn? (male or female).

Pediatrician: Dr. Timothy Geleske ###-###-#### I have friends in Barrington that drive to AH for this practice. I'm not sure what the practice name is or if they're taking new patients.

OB/GYN: Dr. Ranae Yockey ###-###-#### Her practice is in Elk Grove and she's affiliated with Alexian Brothers Hospital. My sister used to be a delivery room nurse there and chose her as her doctor. I see her now too.

Best of luck. I grew up in Arlington Hts. It's a great town especially now with the downtown redevelopment. Here's a few unsolicited restaurant recommendations. Carryout pizza: Dondi's Pizza; Carryout Chinese: South China Chop Suey;Italian: Reginas; Chinese: Yen Yen (Buffalo Grove)

I'm sure you are going to get a lot of referrals! I live in AH too and my kids go to North Arlington Pediatrics. I am not sure if they are taking new patients (except newborns) but here's the phone # ###-###-####. We see Dr. Beth Walsh, but there are several doctors all with excellent credentials.
Ob/GYB- Comprehensive Women's Center ###-###-####; Dr. Susan Scanlon is great. The Wheeling office is close by.

Good luck with the move!

You're already getting a lot of responses, but we have another pediatrician for you. I got referrals from coworkers and checked several places out. We live in Palatine (west of Arlington Heights), but decided on Arlington Pediatrics and really like them. When you call them, you get right through to the office and it's easy to get answers to questions during or after hours. 3325 N Arlington Heights Road, Suite 100A, ###-###-####. Good luck!

I see a few others have posted this practice - North Arlington Pediatrics is where I've taken both my kids since they were born. We mainly see Dr. Peters (he's a lot of fun). All of the doctors there are supurb.

I grew up in the Ivy Hill subdivision...and parents are still there. Welcome to the neighborhood, you'll love it! Be sure to check out Camelot park (Arl Hts Park Dist), they have great programs.

As for Drs. We use Medical Pediatrics (Drs Perez & Burkhart mostly) as mentioned by a few others and love them! I actually live almost 45 min away now and still make the trip! ###-###-####

OB/Gyn-Womancare in Arl Hts (right off Rand & Hintz) ###-###-####. I'd recommend any one of the Drs. They delivered both of my kids and I've been seeing them since I was 16. Again, willing to make the trip to continue with the practice.

Good luck! Feel free to post if you need other local recommendations.

I would highly recommend 1 of 2 practices - depending on your insurance. We go to a pediatrician in Arlington Heights - our - we see Dr. Perez. He has 4 Doctors in the practice. Very professional, almost always on time - easy to get in same day when your child is sick. They are in south Arlington Heights - very close to Northwest Community Hospital. Their number is ###-###-####. Before our insurance changed we used Woodfield Pediatrics in Schaumburg -excellent physicians - their number is ###-###-####.

For an OB - I would also highly recommend Dr. Pozzi out of Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village. He is the best - he delivered my youngest son. He also was my Dr. for surgery I had last year. Their number is ###-###-#### - they are listed in the book under Personal Woman's Healthcare - he is the best and kindest Dr. I have ever met!

Pediatrician- We take our two girls (2 1/2 years and 6 weeks) to Pediatric Health Care Associates. They have 4 doc's in the practice, but prefer Dr. Bernadeta Kordas - she's fantastic!! They have offices on Lake Cook Rd and another on Arlington Hts Rd. ###-###-####
PCP- I've been going to Affinity Healthcare on Rand Rd for a couple of years. They have 7 doc's and 2 PA's on staff and all are very nice. ###-###-####
OB- I've been going to WomanCare on Rand Rd for years & like all of the doc's, but prefer Dr's Albion and Goldin. They delivered both of my girls and a great office. ###-###-####
We've lived in AH for 10 years and love the area! They renovated the "downtown" area a few years ago which is great, and the schools are excellent. Everything is so close, but you don't feel like you're living in a huge city. Good luck!!

I live in the rolling meadows area which is right next door to Arlington Heights. My daughter is 9 months old and I currently use North Arlington Pediatrics. Their phone number is ###-###-####. There are 7 or 8 doctors to the practice. I have had a good experience with them so far. They also offer evening appointments as well. My ob gyn is also located in arlington heights. It is Northwest Womens Consultants. Their phone number is ###-###-####. I have been going to them for over 5 years. There are a few doctors men and women to the practice. My mother and my aunt go to them as well and we all have different doctors. I have recently met them all when I was pregnant and had a great experience with them all. My family really doesn't go to a family doctor, but we have used Dr. Lightfoot, he is located in Arlington heights, on the corner of Wilke & Central. just not sure of his phone number. Hope this helps and is a starting point for you. Good Luck.

I use the same pediatrician and ob as Maria E - North Arlington Pediatrics and NW Women's Consultant. We've seen a number of doctors in both practices and have been very pleased with all of them. I highly recommend them and have only heard good things from others. In fact, in my preparing for delivery class, at least 80% of the women participating also used NWWC. Fabulous practice.

Welcome to AH. It's a great community with plenty to offer. Good luck on your move.
