All three of my school aged children have been wanting to get involved in Soccer but I am having a hard time finding information. The info I have found online is outdated from a year or more ago. I thought usually info. is sent home with kids from school but that hasn't happened in the couple years so does anyone know where I can get them enrolled?

What can I do next?

Assuming that you live in Las Vegas....there are lots of soccer leagues. If you are in the Henderson area, I would recommend NYS ###-###-####) If you are in the North I would recommend NSYS ###-###-####) If you are central Las Vegas (normally play at Desert Breeze Park) I would recommend Rainbow Youth ###-###-####) We have coached all of our kids soccer & football teams & tried each league...they all have good things & bad things about them but at least you get to play!

If you live in Southern Highlands or Henderson:

Southern Nevada Soccer Association it's the Henderson United and Southern Highland United recreational soccer programs at www.snsasoccer.com. There is a link to the Henderson United Youth Soccer website which is www.hendersonsoccer.com. I just enrolled my daughter who is 4 years old.

Good Luck!

I'm not sure in which area of Las Vegas you live, but here is the information that I have from The City of North Las Vegas Parks & Recreation Department:

Recreational Soccer - The recreational soccer league offers a chance for children 5-12 to learn and develop their skills for the exciting game of soccer. Teams are randomly created from individual registrations and volunteer coaches donate their time. Games are played on Saturdays and some weekdays, and practices are once a week on a day chosen by your coach.

Fall Season Registration:
Mail-in or Online: August 2-24, 2008
Walk-in: August 25-28, 2008
Season Starts: September 15, 2008
Location: Seastrand Park and Nature Discovery Park
Fee: $40 (includes 8 game season, t-shirt, awards, and referees)
Divisions: 5-6, 7-9, 10-12

5-6 year olds play 4v4 short sided games, and 7-9/10-12 age groups will play 7v7 games.

For more information or to register, contact the Silver Mesa Sports Department at 4025 Allen Lane, North Las Vegas NV 89032, call ###-###-####, or online at www.cityofnorthlasvegas.com

Their hours are: M-F 9:00am-5:30pm.

My daughter plays for Henderson United Youth Soccer. You can find them at hendersonsoccer.com The other league that I know of is NYS (National Youth Sports)and you can look at them online at nysonline.com. You might also check thru your the recreation center in your area. Have a fun season.
